He got a decent amount of carries at OU given that he is a fullback. OU rotated three RBs to boot (one of which broke Gordon's record). Sorry to rub salt in an old wound Badger fans.
Rip can also catch out of the backfield. Assuming he makes the team (not sure why he wouldn't), I can easily see a play action fake TD in his future.
This is a good pick guys.
Agree, he's a younger, faster, bigger, more athletic, and probably better blocker/runner/receiver then Kuhn. Kuhn is like that old torn up pair of jeans you hate to throw out. He's got almost cult status with many fans and the team. What Kuhn gives you is assignment perfection. With him you know exactly what your going to get.
The difference this year is Sam Gash takes over as RB Coach. This kid has already bonded with this Gash, and Sam has no history with Kuhn. I think your going to see Rip have a big preseason and unseat Kuhn. He will become a new fan favorite. I'm sure Kuhn will catch on with another team. The only problem Kuhn might have is less teams these days use someone like him.
The only thing that would prevent that from happening is if this kid doesn't pickup his assignment/misses blocks.
