And that's why he is a WallStar
As long as they keep Wall, Beal, Otto, PP, Gortat, Gooden and Session out there most the time, should make short work of this.
I expect Nene will have a little more offensive impact this next game, but Nene at PF is a losing proposition on defense against their starters and stretch front court.
Randy will likely start him again. All we can hope for is they don't hit open shoots and Nene can get out of his first rotation without the lead getting to big.
Randy would like to keep his starters starting if he can. Even if it causes them to go down early or for him to pull Nene a little early. Because that allows him to keep the down stream rotations going and keep this rotation in play for next series when it might work better.

Colin Cowherd is one I would like to hear how he feels about Wall now.
Same guy who made comments after Sean Taylor's murder said he knew all he needed to know about Wall after he John came out dancing the Dougie.
I will gladly own my Wall hate and say I am VERY HAPPY to see how good Wall is. He's really great. And he's still just 25...I was wrong. I have attacked his thinking and made assumptions about hero shots. He had a season where his threes totalled 3. John didn't used to have a floater. He is a road warrior now in the playoffs. He's as good as Gary Payton was now. Steph Curry is the MVP, but the way Wall is balling now the Wizards in the Finals...let me stop.
Jonathan Joseph and Colin Cowherd. ..dedicated to both IMO. They won't revise their narrative or give Wall props.

That article was awesome.
I wonder if Atlanta will counter by having Teague go under the pick, ceding the long 2.

Not even worth trying to change some people's minds. Its like trying to make someone who is racist not a racist. When you're so entrenched into an opinion you will never let go.
Cowherd is such a tool. He also said Wall would make a terrible leader because he grew up in a single parent household and kids who grow up in a single parent household make bad leaders. Well you wanna know who else grew up in a single parent household? Barrack **** Obama.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

I listened to Cowherd for a (very) few minutes today as I was driving. He was talking about Manny not reporting the injury. Cowherd says he will always take his integrity with him. He has to be honest...
I just want to hear what he thinks of Wall's road playoff record, his assists, his playing through pain, and the Wizards being 5-0 so far in the playoffs. Any leadership potential by Mr Wall?
Cowherd can say he was wrong and I will respect and acknowledge that if he does.

John missing game 2 is testament to how gutsy it was for him to stay in game 1 and go beast mode for the victory. Must be a pretty serious sprain to keep him out.

Ouch. Blowout time. On the bright wide maybe Beal/Porter learn a few new tricks for the future.

They don't play again until SAT 5:00 PM ET
That's 3 full days of treatment.
He should be fine.
But man. That reminds me of UDC back in the day. Land of the Big Hand.

from web md:
:(:(:(:(
Recovery time depends on how serious your wrist sprain is. These injuries may take from two to 10 weeks to heal. But that's a rough estimate. Everyone heals at a different rate.
While you heal, you might want to take up a new activity that won't irritate your wrist. For instance, skiers could put down their poles and try jogging or stationary biking.
Whatever you do, don't rush things. Do not try to return to your old level of physical activity until:
You feel no pain in your wrist when it's at rest
You can work out and grip and move objects -- like a ski pole, bat, or racket -- without pain
Your injured wrist, as well as the hand and arm on that side, feel as strong as the uninjured wrist, hand, and arm.
If you start using your wrist before it's healed, you could cause permanent damage.

Yeah, that wrist looks really swollen... I wonder if there is some ligament damage.

By definition, a sprain IS ligament damage.

Yep, I was thinking more than a mild sprain - like grade 2 or grade 3. Something where there is tear.
My orthopedic friend tells me that they are often difficult to diagnose without keyhole surgery - probably why he is getting multiple opinions? If they were sure it was just a simple sprain - they would probably already settled in on the treatment?

Yeah -- I agree completely. If it was simple, they wouldn't be getting a third opinion. Obviously, surgery isn't an option to get him back on the floor during the playoffs. My guess is they're trying to figure out if there's a way to get him functional enough to get back on the floor. That'll be a real challenge, though, given how much he has to handle the ball. The Hawks will force him left at every opportunity. Sucks.

I would think they are trying to figure out what is going on and if:
1) using it could/would cause permanent damage going forward
2) if not 1) then how effective could he be
3) what is the proper treatment to optimize 2)
I am not Ortho - but would think that their first choice would be the keyhole surgery. Guessing that isn't an option and have him still play?
Overall - really sucky - as Wall goes so go the Wizards.

Wall's jumper has certainly improved but most of his improvement has been between the ears and this article does a great job of pointing that out.
