Serious question..

If BK gets extended are you guys still going to support and root and pay to watch this team? I mean giving him an extension is the kind of thing that should drive away all the fans, period. If it were the Hawks I really could not support them or watch them anymore. King has done absolutely nothing to deserve an extension so if all the rumors are true I truly feel terrible for you guys.

Yeah I feel pretty bad for you guys even though this is the best thing that good happen for a fan of a team that owns or swaps your next 3 picks.

This kind of news boggles the mind.

Many of us were super-pissed the last time he got an extension. If he gets another extension, it's just going to push me further away.

I can only take so many stabs to the heart. An extension for King will be as close to a nail in the coffin as you can get.

I told myself heading into this season I wasn't going to go to any games until King lost has job. He's destroyed this franchise and needs to be held accountable. I watched nearly every game on YES - super lucky to have Ian Eagle and Fratello - the only good thing we have going for us, and attended both games at MSG. I made it the whole way until game 6, where I was convinced to go. After that beat down and this news I'm more adamant about not going to games until he is fired.

I seriously hope they play in front of an empty arena. I feel it's the only way that a message could possibly be sent. The only issue is a Nets game is still something to do in a big city so people will go. I do think Prok and the Nets will suffer big time with season ticket holders, because who wants to sit through 41 games of this? And will have to heavily scale back ticket prices. Maybe this will get to them?

I probably wont buy any merch for a while. The NBA is more responsible for me not buying League Pass with their lock in contracts. Funny story, I like the new jerseys since the move, but I don't like anyone on the team enough to buy their jersey. I even bought a Richard Jefferson jersey.

I'll still watch and support the team, but with less commitment and emotional investment. Sometimes things need to get worse before they get better. This isn't just a matter of replacing the GM, it's a matter of replacing the Owner and Front Office.

I like the idea of turning off the franchise out of protest, but I like basketball too much and it's better when you have an emotional stake.

Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

They're definitely suffering. There's a reason why season ticket prices stayed the same last year. People (including myself) weren't re-upping to see this garbage. I'm sure there's a good number of season ticket holders who only get tickets to flip them on the secondary-market.

New Yorkers don't want to waste time and the Nets are starting to see that marketing can only work for so long before people see through it. When the entire league is laughing at you, you can either look yourself in the mirror and own up to your mistakes or you can continue to be in denial and run yourself into the ground. Aside from a hat, the only Brooklyn gear I have are things that were given to me. I'm not spending a dime on them until massive changes are made.

I'm personally considering being done with this franchise. Seriously, they give us no reason to even get invested emotionally nor do they give us reason to spend money on the team.
