How is this possible if he can't talk to a team until Saturday? Also, it seems kind of dumb of him to not draw this out and pit teams against each other.

as far as i know contract he signed is the max he could get as an udfa, so there is not a possibility of bidding war.

Teams couldn't talk to Collins at his campus, but this meeting took place at Jerry Jones' mansion.

He signed for the max amount a UDFA can get, with the ability to re-up after two years.

A lot of people wonder why nobody drafted him. There are two prongs here:
1. His agent and other representation made it abundantly clear they would not sign with any team if Collins was selected after the 3rd round.

2. While it was not mandated by anyone, the NFL advised teams to be extra cautious with all prospects with legal issues still pending. That was floating around Chicago all day on draft Friday. On a related note, I hope the Seahawks get bit hard for taking Frank Clark two full rounds earlier than his play ever merited, let alone him being a menace to the city of my birth.

Well he agreed to sign a full 3 Years contract because the deal is worth a fully guaranteed $1.7 million, an unprecedented number for a player who was not selected in the draft and the max that Collins could have been offered.

We all can understand the reason...:D

Collins has been great for Dallas. Dallas O Line is not as great as advertised, needing a good back and a good line to succeed. Collins is a future star. and loves blocking. Maybe Henry or Elloitt can solve that problem in 2016, with an aging Romo. Now Dal will need a QB

Drafting Henry or Elliott and trading for Johnny Football makes a lot of sense to me for Dallas.

I think manziel will be cut. Lots of talk in dallas about getting, but who knows. Jerry cannot resist press and big moves, no matter that a smaller move resulting in an all pro guard. Stephen Jones is wandering to the Jerry side of things for the big move, not the better move. I fear for my Cowboys.
