But each team in the league controls their own 12 balls on offense. There have been numerous reports that just about every team adjusts the pressure to some degree.
The other thing is that this issue was raised by the Colts in the first half and the Refs checked the balls at half time. They were supposed to replace the balls in question with balls from the visitors... But nobody seems to know if that happened.

The other thing is, I bet the equipment managers and players go much more by feel than they do by pressure, because even though, I'm sure Wilson's quality control on their game balls is top notch, if you take a bunch of those balls and fill them to the exact same pressure, a good quarterback is still going to notice differences in each of them.

This is just one of those sour-grapes things that happens in every game in pro sports... I bet nobody is more surprised at how much attention this has gotten than the Colts.

And the league is milking it for all they can get.

Not to mention their offense did not look much worse when they played in the superbowl and obviously everyone and their momma triple checked the ball pressure.

This graphic tells me everything I need to know about the Patriots and their deflategate. There's no rebuttal to the argument that a "squishier" ball is easier to hold onto in traffic. For them to be literally 10,000 times better at not fumbling than the next best team in the NFL.......says something.

they much teach really good fundamentals

Hah! I almost posted this exact thing... Of course they do... There's no team in the league that emphasizes fundamentals more...
That said, I think those numbers are flawed. I'm not exactly sure what they're trying to show there... Fumbles or Fumble Rate... In either case, New England is consistently one of the top teams in the league as far as fumbles but in those 5 years, they were only the team with the fewest fumbles, the fewest lost fumbles, or the lowest fumble rate in 2010, when they topped the list for all 3. But it was marginally better than the next best team at best.
So I don't get it.

closet pats fans? pretty obvious reading between the lines on the texts to implicate brady. even if every team does it it's the people that get caught that look like asshats and get punished (deservedly so - you shouldn't let blatant rule breaking go just because it's the offseason).

That's silly... If everyone does it, it isn't 'blatant rule breaking.' And nobody said it was Brady's fault specifically. In fact, they don't know who to blame. Brady's just an easy target.

I am far from a closet Brady fan. But I just don't think Brady does anything on that team without Belichick's knowledge and ultimate approval. And I don't think Belichick does anything Kraft isn't fully aware of.

I also see correlations to the Lakers... Any other team in the league, and this story dies inside a week tops.

It's just not about football to me.
