Burnett to 15 Day DL, Taubenheim Called Up :(

Blue Jays starter A.J. Burnett has been placed on 15 day disabled list with a right shoulder strain.

Ty Taubenheim has been recalled from the team's Triple-A affiliate in Syracuse and will start in place of Burnett Saturday

Why not Josh Banks.....I don't understand. HE's been their best starter, yet we go to this schmo.....whatever, JP needs to give his head a shake.

Was it in the koskie one?

Koskie or Overbay, cant remember. From the Brewers anyways. JP just trying to justify one of his moves again.

Why Josh Banks, it's not like he has been that great and he gives up a ton of home runs. Taubenheim at least has been up before. If it was me I would let Janssen pitch especially if Burnett is out for a while. But I doubt they want to as he is excelling at the role they have given him and he was most likely going to have to be a relief pitcher anyway with his stuff.

Janssen's been by far our best reliever....you just don't take him out like that. If I had my choice, I'd put Tallet in there for 4-5 innings, then go to the BP.....will certainly be better Taubenheim.....although he's been pretty impressive in his last 2 starts in AAA.
