Never been a fan of Nick Young. Just hate his attitude and mindset. But i do remember once reading that he's like best friends with Paul George. fwiw

And your lottery pick, right?

But seriously, no. Nick Young is essentially an auto no.

I'm not even convinced an uptempo style means he has to go. Golden State runs a very fluid offense and they have a lug in Bogut in the middle who, granted is more mobile and athletic, but they make it work.

Hibb is the epitome of stats not telling the whole story. He's not an offensive juggernaut but doesn't need to be. We have PG, CJ, Stuck and Hill for that. He's frequently contesting and altering shots, making way for his teammates rebounding.

Hibbert is not the problem. And I truly believe he can recapture his mojo.

Well, it's not that I wanna run him off, it's that it seems the team wants o minimize his play. Coming off of great rim defense years and the team says it's not enough and his role will be reduced? Seems like he needs more than rim defense. And that would require adding a skill he's never really had, as opposed to just getting his mojo back.

He gives us more offense than someone like Noah and manages to stay remarkably healthy for his size. I think management and some fans are too quick to downplay what he does on the court.

I am lukewarm on HIbbert. We need him to be bulky and sturdy enough to anchor the paint for us, but he's not really going any faster even if he gets lighter. He is what he is and I just think we need to build a team around our key players' weaknesses. If we need a faster center, maybe we can look for one via draft or free agency. Should we go small with PG at the 4, I'd rather see a faster center than Hibbert though. Not sure Mahinmi can be that guy too. Maybe Allen?

I'd disagree on the Noah thing. Hibbert may score more, but only because we have to force him shot attempts to get in the game flow. Noah doesn't need that.

However, people forget just how good of a passer and facilitator Noah is at the 5. Overall, offensively, I'd say Joakim is a bigger plus offensively. At worst, they're a wash.

Did anyone see this:
http://espn.go.com/blog/nba/post/_/id/3 ... ason-plans

"Hibbert said he may have some time for <Hollywood, acting and gaming> because he plans to spend the summer in Los Angeles. Most importantly, however, Hibbert said, 'I’ve got to get this basketball stuff taken care of...' "

Work outs with Kareem??

Interestingly enough, he's usually the guy that leads the charge to get guys to workout in Indy over the summers. Seems like another distancing between the two parties (Roy and the franchise)

I've read Bird is interested in WCS... What would you all be looking for to move Hibbert to the Celtics. Just curious.

Yall are looking at leaping us for WCS too.
But we've discussed this endlessly here and on the trade forum. Gerald Wallace as filler is simply a massive hindrance that needs to be paid off on its own, and we have little interest in Olynyk or Sullinger. After that, it's hard to work something out with salary filler and whatnot.

hmm yeah, I personally am bullish on the "trade up" for WCS idea pertaining to the Celtics... You sure you don't want Sully as David West in training?

Yeah. He's never going to be reliably healthy for his entire career and coming up on his re-up. We have no interest in giving him big money and hen seeing him miss 20+ games every year or more.

If we were to do a deal with Hibbert going to Boston I'd love to get Young, though I know Ainge is high on him. Young/Wallace wouldn't be enough for me and I don't think 28 closes the gap. So it's tough. Boston certainly has the assets, but figuring out the best combination for both teams hasn't worked out (and we've all gone over it a ton).
