I am so excited for the draft lottery coming up to see where we will have a pick. Depending on where that is I would be super happy with either Towns or Russell.
Even more exciting is the upcoming free agency. My gut tells me Phil will be creative and thoughtful with putting this team together. I think we will also get lucky and pull a big name like Alderidge.
So many holes to fill so the possibilities are endless

Knicks get V-Oladipo, E-Fournier, M-Harkless and pick #5 (WCS).

Knicks sign Monroe & T-Harris.

If I could get 2 top young defensive players Oladipo/WCS for the #1 pick I think about it. Plus Oladipo is the type of guy / player that get his own and get into the paint.

Doubt Orlando would move Victor but they could pair Towns with Vucevic and pair E-Payton with THJ in backcourt.

I'm not trading the 1st overall pick unless its for Anthony Davis. End of story.

We would basically be the orlando magic with Carmelo Anthony. That isn't a contender.

Why are you so hell bent on trading down for Stein? Even after getting the 1st pick ha. You take Towns and GO HOME.

Dipo is nice but come on now. I'd take the chance on Russell, Mudiay, or Winslow being better.

I don't think any of those 3 cats become the 2-way player that Oladipo is -- just don't see it.

I view a package of Oladipo/WCS as superior to Towns because I'm getting 2 legit defenders and starters.

Personally --- I don't think the Magic would entertain giving up Oladipo despite the cries of Knick fans who think they are getting a hall of famer at #1. This is from someone who has Towns #1 on my board.

I just think we have lots of holes to fill -- taking the pick and getting 2 solid starters and filling in 2 more holes via FA is appealing to me -- I can't take the position of GOD NO -- WE CAN NEVER TRADE THIS PICK.

Good gravy no - I was just throwing Lawson into the mix. Maybe as a strict salary dump, if Denver is interested in that sort of thing. They often are looking to cut costs.

Please no Monroe....He will fade out just like Amare after a max contract year...I would rather get Kostas Koufos cheap...he can run and space the floor...put him alongside Towns and we are suddenly competitive

People really underestimate the fact we sorely need a competent lead guard in this offense.
Equal opportunity, share the ball, blah-blah. We still need a guy able to improvise within and outside the principles of the triangle.
A guard. Not (just) Melo. I don't see an available one on the market that fits the mold. Not Reggie, Rondo, Middleton, etc.
I'd definitely go HARD, pause, for 'Dipo before the inevitable break out.
