Official Wizards Board Member Milestones Thread

This morning, I'm thinking about this board and our fellow members. For many of us, RealGM has been in our lives as we've navigated through our lives and so many different milestones. I recall, very early on, WizStorm's Vegas wedding and dinner at Olives; JRo's marriage and the birth of his kids. Kevin's son seems to have grown up before us throughout the years and is an outstanding young man now.

These milestones, and more, have come to be mentioned and celebrated on these boards in an ad hoc basis. But perhaps we should have one place where we can detail and archives the big moments of our members' lives. This is that one place.

A warm congratulations to board member Rafael on his engagement (in Paris no less, you romantic devil). Raffy has observed a tried and true strategy when it comes to getting married -- always marry above your head.

I came in here to poo poo Pine's thread but he preempted me with the wedding news and now it would be rather tasteless. Darn, you Pine! You managed to skate my dry sarcastic humor this time...but I promise you I'll derail this thread by page 10.

With that, Congrats man!! If I ever get to that point, Paris would be my choice as well!!

Congrats!

I just find a new job in London, became responsible for development in entire Europe ... My company works closely with American office and I will be in DC area in December.
And yes - that i s my milestone. I would try to be on Zards game. Damn I will. Even if I'm just a Gortat's homer I developed an affection for BOW (wow, wow "singing") - Beal, Otto, Wall. I was supporting Utah back in 90s but I'm closer to Wizards than to Jazz now. . .

Great thread idea! This one's a blast from the past, but several board members (including Pine) were there about 10+ years ago when my nephew tried his first crab dip at Gordon Biersh. Good times, good times.

Oh and congrats to Raf! :clap:

I just had my 3rd year anniversary as a business owner. I'm now making almost double what I was making with my former employer.

My one year anniversary with my girlfriend is today. Hard doing long distance right now, but she is worth it. What is even better is that she took in an interest in the Wizards herself when she learned how big a fan I am. Mixed feelings with the loss today, but happy she is a fan with me and cares about the things I care about, I think I found a keeper.
