New Alternate Jersey next season

According to leaked information from the Adidas catalog for next year. Unclear if the Motor City jersey will still be around (that is classified as a "Pride" jersey, but the Pistons will have a new "Alternate 2" jersey. No details yet. I'm hoping it's simply a revivial of the red jersey that was used in the middle part of the last decade - still don't understand why that was dropped in the first place.

The new Bucks logo looks modern and much more better for example.

Yea our logo is trash I would rather go the retro route like the hawks, with the horse with the dual pipes.

Good point mattao I'd love to see a redesign of the horse logo with pipes, but keeping the same color scheme...that could be pretty dope if done right.

I hate our lettering more than anything. I hate the "puffiness" of the font, and the rounded edges. We're limited to what we can do with a logo - and Brooklyn and others are taking what we could have done - a basketball with an olde english D would have been ideal.

Motor City was used, how about "Motown" jerseys?

I'm definitely down for a logo revamp too.
The current font and logo is so dated. I would like them to use the old 80's logo, but so many teams are adopting that simplistic style over a basketball (brooklyn, T.O, Philly, etc)
I'd like something relative to automotive design rather than some generic *insert name* on basketball.

I'm all for alternative jerseys too if they use a new font. The motor city ones would have been so much nicer if they updated the font.

It's way too late for a logo redesign

The Bucks were forced to choose a color on one of their logos because they were too close to the deadline for next season

We need to get rid of our font especially the P on the shorts, it looks farxin terrible!

We have to avoid going with a circular ball logo like 90% of the league just look at Philly, Bucks, and many others "new" logos

An updated Pistons horse logo with the tail pipes would be sick even going with a slight variation on red, white, and blue since many teams are using that color scheme now.

We need to shed the old the last 10 years and move forward with a new fresh look

Agreed with all, and I'm glad a lot of you agree with a logo/font redesign.

The logo in conjunction with the colors are trash, it's as if designers came up with the most boring and laziest logo possible.

I won't even get into the trash that is the typography used on the logo either. That's a whole another rant.

I absolutely love the horse and pipes logo! Its epic! a modern tweak on that would be amazing!

also I really like the font of the leaked xmas day uniform for us!


On topic tho, would be a shame to lose the motor city jerseys. I want to keep those, just get them without sleeves. I don't want a sleeved one.

The Motor City jersey will still be around next year. It will also still have sleeves unfortunately. I wasn't a big fan of it at first, but it grew on me (Navy not being a Pistons color.) Definitely looked way better in year 1 without the sleeves.

No other changes for next year regarding font or logos or anything. I agree with others I'm not a fan of the "D inside the P" (hold your jokes) logo currently on the shorts. I'd love to see this re-colored one from the teal era take its place:

I have to imagine the new alternate will be a red one; it doesn't make much sense to have a second royal blue or navy jersey but I guess stranger things have happened.

Nike is taking over the NBA apparel contract in 2 years; if the Pistons have a rebranding I imagine it will be done then (Nike having handled the re-design to the current identity in 2001 when the teal era was disbanded.)

This is the best Pistons Logo and it's not even close!!!! There's NO reason this shouldnt have been the main logo or atleast the center court logo. We have the corniest logo in the league by far.
