Drabek was pretty lucky himself, he kept his ERA well below his FIP in 2012 (4.67; 5.62). Sanchez' numbers are almost identical to that right now (4.34; 5.54). He's certainly no MLB starter.

Sanchez 2015: 37.1 IP, 6.03 K9, 6.51 BB9, 59 GB%, 4.34 ERA, 5.54 FIP

So if Norris was sent down because he has no command, how does Sanchez stay up (or at least stay out of the pen)?

.351/.365/.658 on the first pitch the last 3 years. That was a particularly tough one, though.

Bautista also swung at first pitch the first game of this series for a weak groundout. Usually when he is on, he takes that first pitch.
