Apparently Cliff mentioned this on some radio show he went on. Price leaving does seem to open up a spot on the coaching staff.

He'd be a good addition imo.

If we added Scal and hired a shooting "consultant" we'd be alright imo.

Yes. The ownership/management agreed to send him to the D-League coaching staff after his blowup with Jackson to (somewhat) quell the situation. Then after they fired Jackson, they offered him his job back as part of Kerr's new staff. They liked Scalabrine and thought he had some upside as a coach.

But Scalabrine declined the offer. He said it was a great experience, but coaching probably wasn't for him. So he got some broadcasting gig with the Celts this past season, I believe.
