only somewhat feasible header i remember is when he had to jump diagonally between 3 defenders, he had another chance where he had to half volley again in the crowd and chiellini got in the way but neither of those were gimmes at all. i understand he may not have delivered performances his price tag indicates but this is an odd game to rag him on, he was virtually the only one making runs and taking chances particularly second half.
Agree with this. Nobody for Real posed much of a threat in the final third. Bale seemed to be the only getting on some of the half chances they had, especially in the second half.

You'd think with their team possibly on a treble they'd be more focused on themselves but it was more Penaldo this, Bale that. Made me laugh, I really hope Madrid fans weren't that bad last year.
