Celts fan-truth. I greatly appreciate your support, you're a cool dude. You need to learn to ignore martin2vaught tho. He's a negative nancy, debbie downer, fake fan. Prob a flaker fan in disguise on here. Do yourself (and the rest of us) a favor and put him on ignore so we don't have to see all his crying posts.

The loss sucks, but there's still a game 7 to be played. I'd be willing to bet we're ready and won't let up like what happened tonight.

Taking some time off to go watch an early showing of "Mad Max" in ~4 hours. It better live up to the hype and wash away this loss, while also getting me pumped up for Sunday. Hope our guys have their own ways of dealing with disappointment, the worst thing we can do is let it carry over.

You would think we would have learned from our collapse in game 2. All the momentum is with Houston now. It's scary to think that when we NEED a bucket, no one wants to step up and we play hesitant clunky slow motion basketball.

I was at the game. All of the excitement left the building. It was very sad. You could hear a pin drop. Clips couldn't score, but what are the odds of Houston hitting 7 three pointers in the 4th quarter- with 3 of them from Smith? I still can hardly believe it.

absolutely could not believe it. 2 of the worst shooters in the league erase a 20 point lead. those 2 barely had a team to play on 6 months ago. then you have 2 of the best in jj and jamal that can not make a shot. where was dj in this game? howard with 21 rebounds dj 9. it does not look good but I will not give up on this team. we have to believe that the odds are in our favor after last night. they will not continue to miss shots 3 games in a row. plus those bone heads will not be that lucky again.

Can't blame dj to much Dwight only had two points in the 4th. They had five offensive rebounds and 1 was late when the game was over and the other was off a dj block and save that led to a 3. We got beat by Josh Smith and Brewer nailing threes. The rockets got to the rim off long rebounds off our misses.

Jamal and Davis came in and we went to crap.

It was really fun, one of the best action movies I've ever seen. Not to add to the crazy amount of hype it's getting from critics (which actually had me worried), but it totally is worth seeing for the visual spectacle.

I like Tom Hardy as well, but being perfectly honest I didn't love him as Max. Although he has some cool moments, overall I got a pretty strong Bane vibe from him, and that's a character I kinda hated. This was filmed right after "The Dark Knight Rises", so maybe that explains it. Also didn't help that he was wearing a mouth mask for the first part. :)
Charlize Theron (shaved head and oiled up face is a great look for her) and Nicholas Hoult (What a wonderful day indeed!) were pretty great, though.

If I was in charge of our team, I would take everyone to see this (and lock Jamal in the theater at the end). :D

Look. I share and respect the passion you have for this team as I am royally perturbed right now, but I don't see how you can blame Chris Paul for anything. The guy is under 6 feet tall and excels at making his teammates better. He came up with the clutch shot when put in the position (see Game 7 versus San Antonio). He recognizes that for the team to really get anywhere, Blake Griffin has to be the team's best player and that the team, as a whole, has to perform. He's not going to go Allen Iverson at the expense of the team. Sure, we all want him to be more aggressive, but you can't seriously blame him for our predicament.

Despite having two of the league's best players and assets to spare, Doc built this team to the flawed incarnation that it is. He allowed losers like Jamal Crawford to be our Achilles' Heel. Chris Paul has enough things to worry about in running the offense and defending--both of which he's considered the best at doing respectively at his position, by the way--than to also have to play coach and GM. The only fault for Chris is that he recruited both Crawford and Barnes to the team. However, Doc is the one that put this team in a position to fail rather than one poised for success.

LeBron had Bosh and Wade. Kobe had Shaq and Gasol plus Phil and sound support players. Duncan has Manu, Parker, Pop, and now Kawhi in addition to teaming up with David Robinson earlier. Olajuwon had Drexler, Cassell, Horry, and other notable support. Garnett had Pierce, Allen, and Rondo. Magic had the Lakers. Bird had the Celtics. Jordan had Pippen, Grant, Phil, and notable support. Chris had only David West during his Hornets days and now he basically has Blake and fluctuating performances from DJ and JJ. Griffin and Paul need other people to step up.

Blake and Chris did their part tonight but they couldn't overcome the bad coaching and lack of production from the rest of the roster. Paul is recovering from a bad hamstring and put up big numbers tonight and tried to take charge at the end as others were shrinking from the moment, which is precisely the point. CP has been trying to build up his teammates in order for them to step up and perform in key moments, but he alone can't overcome shell-shocked teammates and bad coaching.

this is a good post but completely wasted on him. i think you shouldn't bother.

for real, guys, this was on doc. on jamal to an extent (literally one of the dumbest nba players i've seen in my lifetime, maybe the dumbest). but let's talk about doc:

- up 19 or whatever calls timeout when we're killing it. um, ok

- as quarter closes starts hacking dwight. i'm fine with this for the extra rest. dwight hits two in a row then doc decides not to foul again (wtf you really think dwight is gonna hit another two?) leads to a 3.

- wants to protect the lead instead of playing to win. tells guys to slow it down when our pace is what is killing the team

- leaves starters in at beginning of fourth. this is the absolute real killer. i know one knucklehead here wants to keep blaming cp3, but in reality blake and cp3 had nothing left in the tank for the 4th because doc WOULD NOT GET THEM REST. the reason that cp3 starts becoming more deferring when crawford comes in is because he is always tired as hell. this was the case in last night's game.

- doc plays austin rivers half as many minutes as crawford. plays hawes something like 3-4 minutes total. cp3 played over 40 minutes, blake over 41. lester hudson played 0. meanwhile crawford was a -26. again, doc was playing not to lose and well, he lost. might have lost the series for us.

the whole thing is not over. i think we will still win game 7. but man, it sure feels pretty crappy right now. and even if we win the series, any faith i had in pushing the warriors or memphis, if they get there, is pretty much gone. i think the edge we gained from beating the spurs is gone. and now that barnes is hurt, guess who we will see more of?

we've seen so many games over the regular season, and at least 3-4 in the playoffs where doc has this blind insistence on playing crawford and continuing to play him no matter how awful he is. games that we've lost cause doc could NOT fathom putting a different guy in there, and that is not going to work if this team has any championship aspirations.

blame whoever you want. just keep in mind that blake AND cp3 played their asses off tonight. i'm going with doc.

Anyone arguing that Doc wasn't the main reason for the loss has a poor understanding of basketball imo. Or didn't watch the game.

I know I have a reputation for hating Jamal and he went 4/12 just like Redick and Barnes, but JJ and Barnes were missing good looks. A lot of jamal's misses were looks from his ISO plays. I just don't understand what Doc sees in him that I don't. It feels like forever since he had a good offensive game.

NIck's got some good analysis here and there isn't much to add, but I just don't think it is in those rockettes to beat a team like the clips 3 in a row. I expect to watch the clips play for another couple of weeks at the least.
ehhhhh f it.

This was not Doc telling them to slow it down, players did that themselves and Houston scoring on almost every possession helped

Ridiculous loss. That 15 pt 4th qtr was a travesty. Hope these games aren't fixed for greed and ratings. :nonono:

good game 6 analysis on clipsnation by justin russo

http://www.clipsnation.com/2015/5/15/86 ... ay-15-2015

"No one knows what’s going to happen in Game 7. There’s no one on this planet who does. That’s a fact. In the Film Room for Game 5, I wrote two vital things. The first was that the “problem with letting a team win a Game 5 at home to draw within 3-2 in the series is that it not only gives them some confidence after being massacred in the two prior games, but it also limits the number of games that you have to negate the randomness of the postseason.” The randomness showed up in the fourth quarter of Game 6 and bludgeoned the Clippers over the head with a ball-peen hammer."
