No, not really. He's sorta the opposite side of the coin. Eddie emphasized the offense and had a bad defensive scheme. Wittman emphasizes defense and has a bad offensive scheme. Both guys were/are liked and respected by their players.
It's close. If there is a difference it is marginal. With EJ, he did seem to maximize the most from his players offensively. Guys like Larry Hughes struggled with Cleveland. I think another coach could have gotten more out of Arenas defensively, a player like Jamison though was a lost cause, I can't imagine even Wittman having an above average defense with Jamison in the starting lineup.
Both may have underachieved in the regular season, but they both were solid enough in the postseason; at least they put their teams in a position to win down the stretch.
