This feels a lot sweeter for me as a fan due to the team specifically targeting him and buying their way into the 2nd round to get him.

It would have been a bizarre statement if someone had said after least year's draft that Randle would miss the entire season and a Laker would still make all rookie first team.

Someone needs to learn how to use a spreadsheet. That chart is horrible.

Steal of the draft.

I want to see next year in a more (hopefully) competitive team.

huge boost for a 2nd round pick...hope he develops himself into a real floor general...mike conley comes to mind.

this makes me want to skip on russell or mudiay and draft a SF but it might not be such a great idea...you have to take the best talent on the board no matter what, and thats what mitch will do...maybe mudiay (a true pg as compared to clarkson) could slide to the PG spot and let clarkson play more SG...

or draft mario hezonja and make a team with clarkson/kobe/hezonja/randle/hill

Clarkson is much better than Elfrid Payton IMO and should of gotten more votes than him. Congrats JC we might have something to look forward to next season.

I think there's a minimum required number of games to qualify for rookie awards.

Agreed, means Mitch saw something from him. And people say Mitch doesn't evaluate talent well, I tend to disagree. Jordan and Julius were complete steals last June.

Yup. I can't wait for next year's backcourt of Clarkson and Russell (hopefully).
