My top 3 are

1. Towns
2. WCS
3. Justice Winslow
4. I trade for a proven Veteran

Okafor I say NOkafor I don't think he is the Laker type.

I really like Winslow the best but Towns is bigger and works hard.

WCS is not a good Offensive Player but has a long lanky 7 footer that can protect the Rim
something Okafor cannot do. Like on the Radio he can be like DeAndre Jordan type

Towns hustles so I like him more like a Patrick Ewing type of coordination.

These guys are young and still can develop offensive skills.

This.

But DAY-UM!!! I was nervous when I woke up. Now, after reading all these posts, I'm quaking, nauseated and I think I have a fever. Need to lie down....

None of these bigs are nba ready and won't be impactful next year. Give me Muiday or MArio over the rest of the pack easy. Russell sucked ass vs athletic teams, hes not Curry who has in the gym range and can break anyone off. Muiday and MArio are the most nba ready bodies who will actually contribute

I have a final half an hour after the draft broadcast begins. I'm basically going to miss the panic or celebration. Godspeed.

Got NOTHING for pansy Euros or somebody who knew he couldn't cut it against NCAA competition. Keep your Mudiays and your Herza-whoziwhatitz and Pingzingas - and yeah, I've heard the "he just wasn't going to be used by the system" BS. That's nice. And, these aren't the droids you're looking for... Move along...

You watched the tourney and didn't at least imagine Russell lighting up teams in a Laker uniform for a decade?

He's really not even a factor before you decided to trade what could be our highest pick in the next 10 years? Why would we even need a proven veteran? What are we trying to accomplish? Make the 8th seed?

Who do you even consider an available "proven veteran" that's worth the opportunity cost of not locking in a player for 10-15 years? By and large, with the lack of mobility on the FA front, the draft is how teams build their core. If Kobe were 6 years younger, then great get a vet...but we essentially have no core right now.

Randle and Clarkson are just the beginning. And while we have high hopes, we have no idea how Randle's game will translate yet, or whether Clarkson will be an effective player on a winning team. We need as many options as possible.

Also, you brought up WCS is like DJ....Now if we get the 4th or 5th pick, I can see taking him, sure...but who is looking to nab another DJ? As amazing of a year he's had, the dude is a liability on offense. The Clippers have 3 top 10/15 players and they still couldn't get over the hump. We'd be creaming ourselves if Randle even sniffs at Blake's potential. No way in hell is Clarkson ever as effective as Paul.

Waste a 2nd pick on a guy that allows teams to play 4 on 5 on defense? The only reason to draft WCS would be for defense right? We all agree that good team defense is vital to a championship...but offense is defense. If you have a player that's good for 11 points a night, and you're having to pay him as your 2nd/3rd option because that's what bigs cost, but when the other team defends you, you essentially can rove off of him because he can't shoot from beyond 4 feet, then isn't that giving the opponent a significant advantage?

Role players tend to disappear in crunch time, meaning you need a dominant duo like Shaq and Kobe to be paired with a WCS.

Especially if the hack-a-whoever stuff isn't going away soon. You need a player that can make his free throws, or he'll just get taken out of the game. Essentially, if WCS is lucky he's the next Chandler or DJ, but teams with those guys haven't been world beaters in the playoffs.

Did it three times.

First one, number 6 pick. Then, Mudiay at 3. And finally, Towns at number 1.

Will the Sixers even know when they have the "Right" draft picks? Or are they just going to keep tanking until someone tells them not to... Maybe that's how they plan to put butts in the seats... "Come see the latest Draft Picks!"

Did the lotto game 1 time: 5th and we got Winslow. Not sure why but that's not very satisfying.
