I am all on board the Team Towns bandwagon.

Think about it Flip, go with the two way player.

Towns. The Wolves desperately need a defensive anchor and rim protector, and with how much Wiggins and Shabazz post up, having a Big that spreads the floor would be huge.

Sticking to my guns with towns, just think he has the better all around game and fits the "how to win in the NBA" model for a C better.

Any time you have to ask "who would this PF fit better next to" you can pretty much always say Towns, even if they don't play much defense like Kevin Love. With Okafor you have to ignore like 75% of the PF's in the league, that's a rough way to team build.

I think is really important get a good vibe in the draft workouts from the guy you are picking.
I should get towns or russell, whoever of the two have more willingness to stay and chemistry with kg personality (he will be who will be running things the next decade).

Then if they dont show enough compromise
Look at okafor.

Any of them will destroy the league along wiggins, but okafor is the hardest to surround.

I'm still torn... Towns seems to be consensus #1 though, so he makes more sense. He also fits this team perfectly and then there's this:

I'll be happy with either. I'm leaning Towns right now but we need to see what workouts look like.

I hope Flip thinks back to what he said in January....

We need to get a balanced roster," Saunders said then.
In the year-and-a-half since then, Saunders has traded Kevin Love, made multiple free-agent signings and named himself head coach.

Yet the Western Conference cellar dweller is mere inches closer to being a viable defensive club.

"We have to get more two-way players," Saunders said Saturday after his team, the league's worst defensively, lost 108-93 to the Spurs. "We still have a lot of one-way players. So the more we can develop those two-way players, the better we're going to become at both ends of the floor."

The answer is Towns. It's a question, in that you do your due diligence, etc, make sure he doesn't have a secret career risking injury, etc. But all that aside, it's not a question really. You take Towns and you move on.

You're already hearing noise from Woj about Towns wanting to force his way to LA. What does that tell you? His agent knows he's going #1, everyone sensible knows that.

It should be Towns.

In 2017 he and Wiggins will be the first Co-MVP's.

Back and forth. But I don't think Towns will the assertive force down low that Okafor will likely be from day 1. Towns has the better defensive ability, better free throw shooter, better outside jumper, but Okafor is going to command double teams, likely the better passer. It's really tough. Okafor to me is the better bet to dominate games on the offensive end.

I would say dominate the post, but offensively Towns is going to be much more versatile. Plus if we need, we have Pek to work the post. I'm in the no if's no buts just take Towns and thank the basketball gods for finally blessing us.
