My first time seeing him play. My first thought watching this game was its too bad Vesely has no NBA skills because he's a freaky athlete.

Bjelica is somewhat of a very poor mans Love. He's going to be a poor athlete by NBA standards who doesn't have exceptional size or length. He does appear to have a great BBIQ and is skilled (shooter, ball handler, passer). My snap judgment is he's an NBA rotational player but not a starter on a good team. Would need to see more than one game to truly get a feel for him though.

My question is if he's not a sure fire NBA starter, why would he ever come here? He's a rock star MVP in Europe playing on a championship team.

FYI - Taj Gibson turns 30 next month.

6 years NBA experience under Thibodeau (Taj) vs 0 NBA experience (Nemanja)

Id argue Taj has more NBA knowledge to share with Payne/Bennett than Nemanja does.

We don't have to trade anything for Bjelica.

It was going back to someone saying Bjelica will be a veteran presence, you cant teach young guys to succeed in the NBA without even playing in one game.

They have KG to teach them, I'm not sure why Nemanja would get that crappy job ;)

Vesely is still NBA material IMO. With his athleticism, you don't need much skill.

When he was drafted, he was a SF. Wizards then tried to completely reinvent his game and change his position. So its no surprise he sucked, he not only had to transition to NBA, he had to transition into playing completely different position. And when he finally started to figure all out, hes out of the league already.

Hahaha good call on that, KG is the best guy we could have for that. I never thought of KG mentoring Nemanja though. He could help him a lot.

To my knowledge, Wolves people dont see much of a difference between Bjelica and Hummel. Which I would argue because I have seen both, but by the time we hope to be competitive he will be past his prime. I just dont think hes worth putting off the development of Payne and Bennett.

Where did you hear that? I have a hard time thinking they would covet a cheap utility/end of the bench guy like Hummel over the Euroleague MVP.

Not only that, I don't see why it would come down to one of those two. They need help at PF and Bennett/Payne aren't exactly world beaters. I would imagine Bennett will be out the door if he doesn't show some vast improvement this year. His price tag is just too high for what he brings to the table and I'm guessing Bjelica would be much better on a cheaper contract (Bennett is due 5.8, 7.3, and 9.5 million the next three seasons if they keep him).

Towns beside Nemanja makes me feel a world better about him on the defensive end here. Hopefully he is keen and willing to come over.

Yeah, as soon as you get that defensive anchor in Towns at C the world pretty much opens up for you at PF.

I don't think Flip really wants to bring him over. It would probably be expensive and he might not even want to play here. I am guessing Flip will trade his rights.

I feel like he's the primary piece we use if we want to trade up into the late 1st. Maybe Dallas at 21, since Ronzone was responsible for drafting him.

I'm guessing an interview today. Must have missed this part. Do you remember which one?

Bumper to bumper with Barreiro. He mentioned possibly using Bjelica to move up in the draft.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
