I don't watch enough college ball to make an informed decision, but one thing that should be a big factor in the decision is figuring out who is going to be loyal. They'll both say all the right things before the draft, but if there's an inkling that one of them is going to leave for a bigger, warmer city as soon as their rookie contract is up we need to try and look for any warning signs.

I have no idea, but after Flips last couple drafts I trust him to pick the better guy

Okafor to me is the better bet to dominate games on the offensive end.

I would say dominate the post, but offensively Towns is going to be much more versatile. Plus if we need, we have Pek to work the post. I'm in the no if's no buts just take Towns and thank the basketball gods for finally blessing us.

Can't count on Pek

Maybe not to start, but the guy would be coming off the bench in a 20-25 minute role. His ankle has to hold up on that kind of minutes.

After their rookie contract is up, we can still match the first big payday, so technically we could have the guy for 8-9 years.

Dick Vitale ‏@DickieV
Minnesota gets # 1 / my choice would be @JahlilOkafor / Lakers @ 2 will go big 4 @KarlTowns / Knicks slide to 4 -draft has quality on top

Even if we can't, you still take Towns. It's not like he has a nonexistence post game. He's very solid in the post already.

Yeah I would probably go Towns but if the reports are true, Flip probably prefers Okafor's ability to dominate in the post and thinks someone like KG can help him with the other aspects of the game.

I am shocked Duke Vitale thinks Okafor should go #1, just shocked.

Okafor seems unstoppable on the block, but the low free-throw% bothers me.

Towns became more rounded as he season progressed, but still limited as a goto guy.

Right now I gotta go Towns 51-49

Cool, we agree! I am pretty worried about Flip's lovefest with Okafor. The guy still has an offense based on midrange jumpers, and may not realize that post games are not as important as it used to be.

Coming into the lottery I would have been ecstatic with either. But, since we get to choose I have to go with Towns. He's got the better upside and is also a perfect fit for the team.

Think Okafor or Russell will be the favorites to take home ROY. Towns is going to be the well rounded guy that will be better in the long run.

Towns has been my guy since I first saw him during Kentucky's Carribean tour. He's a perfect modern NBA center, providing rim protection, passing, and floor spacing. The problem is I think Flip is a bit of an old school coach, although he has done very well the last two drafts.

I feel like I need to vote for Okafor to make the poll more balanced.

Towns and Wiggins. That's (potentially) one hell of a combo. On both ends of the floor.

C lupus Im about to be banned for the 2nd time for posting on the knicks board (even tho im not saying anything 1/10th as bad as any of the knicks fans say about their own team) Mainly refuting their claims of "Towns will just force his way off the wolves anyways" Since me saying otherwise or refuting their previous claims about... Rubio as me "trolling" them. Please ban anyone else who posts on this forums due to them trolling us. Kthx

To the people who are leaning Okafor, let me ask you this. Who is the archetype for Okafor? What player in the recent past is a model for him to succeed as a star in this league?
