btw that boozer signing keeps looking better and better, i mean, a veteran PF who used to be a bully in the paint and can score and rebound well 'till his old age to groom randle looks great in the long run. similar size, similar athleticism and i think randle could be (alot) stronger that boozer

all in all i hope we could nab towns. but like everyone said, okafor or russell would also be terrific! man so glad we got the 2nd pick.
two years of misery will hopefully come to fruition

Still amazing how much the Lakers lucked out. I don't think it's a given that Minnesota takes Towns. They already have Deng as a defensive stopper and Okafor provides a low post presence to replace Pekovic. Either way the Lakers should pick BPA regardless of who is on the team. I actually see Russell becoming the best player in the draft, but Okafor becoming a 25 and 10 beast on the offensive end.

Combined helps your stock. Or really bring it down. When ur at the top why risk going lower?

Combine is for players who might not get drafted, 2nd rounders, and late 1st guys who want to improve their stock. The top tier rarely ever risks injury by participating in it.

To all the people who love Okafor, can someone tell me the prototype for him to be a star in this league? I see the name Al Jefferson batted around a lot, but if that's the prototype then he's not going to be a star. The 2 best players are going to be Towns and Russell.

Griffin didn't play a regular season game, broke his knee in preseason.

League office would have to rule of he is a rook or not since he did compete in an officially counted game

Okafor is already 10 times the passer Al Jefferson is and can score off either block unlike Jefferson, taller and better rebounder too. You can run an offense through Okafor's passing skills. Jefferson could never do that.

He did, he logged a few seconds in the opening game before getting hurt.

That doesn't answer my question. Which player is the prototype for Okafor to be a star? I don't see one.

There doesn't have to be a prototype for every prospect for you to shoehorn into. Watch some youtube highlights if you missed the NCAA season.
