The Magic are picking 5th. Who you got? (First pass)

So we know we are picking 5 now and we have a decent idea who the are top players for the 5th pick. I did not include the big 4 because the assumption is if any of them were to fall, we'd take them out of hand. This is just our first pass poll. It will be open a week, you can change your vote, so don't be afraid to vote and then do more research. We'll do another poll closer to the draft. If someone not included gets a lot of "other" votes, I may redo the poll, although I think I covered all the serious contenders.

Winston is like the prototype player for hennigan

I dont know if he will be the pick, really depends what the plan is with tobias and gordon, but from a skills/athleticism stand point, he matches up perfectly with what hennigan looks for

Mario Hezonja for me.

He's an athlete who is a knock down shooter and has all the tools to be a good defender also. I think he fits in with our core fine.

I do not understand all the love for Winslow. Harris, Gordon, Vic, Fournier, Harkless. More of the same. We have to get a rim protector or a shooter. So let's gamble and go with the guy who might provide both. Porzingis it is.

today I'm going with Mario. He's got the size, athleticism and shot to be our starting SF. I do like Winslow 2 tho.

I like what Mario Hezonja could be from what I have seen, but from what I know right now I gotta go with Winslow, much less risk/high ceiling low floor. But if Mario proves to be the real deal in interviews and workouts I'd be happy with him. I trust Rob.

Take a wing if they look like they could become an unstoppable offensive option, otherwise take a big.

Trill's defensive potential could be a real game changer the way Gobert was for Utah. and after an elite superstar scorer, i think an elite defensive presence is atop the list of priorities in ranking BPA for me.

I don't think a guy who changed his middle name to "trill" aligns with what the Magic look for in high character individuals. Plus at 5 that would be a slight reach, would want us to trade down if they really want to get "trill".

Winslow looks like a role player. Not that that's bad, but I wouldn't expect a future star if we drafted him. Hezonja seems overrated as an athlete. Has an explosive leaping ability, but I don't see the general quickness or lateral quickness he's been said to have. Still studying.

Pretty much exactly how I see it. Basically, Mario could be a top 3 calibre pick and the best player from this draft one day but it really depends on his mindset. If he has that killer instinct like Kobe that I think he has, then he could be incredible, but if its more of a problematic personality then we should pass. I trust Henny to make the right call.
