Draft Lottery: Tonight (Nuggets have NEVER had their position improved :banghead: )

Coaching Hire: I would expect to happen after the lottery but before the draft

Draft: June 25th

Salary: http://hoopshype.com/salaries/denver.htm

2015 Offseason (Draft, Coach, Players)

Post#3 » by josh_nuggets » Wed May 20, 2015 6:17 am

realistically we could get mudiay and porznigas/hezonja

if Russell goes pick 3 and Knicks don't take mudiay, mudiay would slip past magic. then we make a trade based around lawson for pick 6. I think kings would accept a deal like that as they are in win now mode and Karl at the deadline wanted lawson anyway.

then with pick 7 select hezonja or porznigas

Whatever pick Denver makes, i hope that they take into consideration that with jahlil Okafor in Minnesota, there are 2 teams in the division who are clearly better than us (okc minny) we watched okc get mad talent in 3 years and now we've seen Minnesota get the last 2 #1 picks. I say we try trading everyone not named jusuf nurkic for some picks.

how the **** are the timberwolves better than us with Okafor? He aint Lebron, his rookie impact will be no more than what Pekovic does now

and what is everyones obsession with drafting Euro's?

I would trade Ty for highet pick available and pick Tyus Jones

Jameer - Tyus
Winslow - Harris - Barton
Chandler - Barton - Gallo
Gallo - Faried - Arthur
Nurkic - Jokic - Joffrey

thats my dreamlineup for next year. I'd love to move Kenneth as well, but dont see it happening

That explains a lot, should be ready by training camp. Should allow Jokic time in Summer league play, development time should help him while Nurkic heals up

Just to clarify, what is the current goal for this coming season?

I would like the goal to be...acquire young talent and develop that talent. If the Nuggets don't hold a firesale (which I doubt) and get back to running they can easily win more than 30 games. Enough to get back in the playoffs idk but at least close. I know a lot of people don't want to just be close but I'm ok with that if the majority of the rotation is young and not the "core" we've had the past few seasons.

My list of goals would be:

1. Find a good coach that emphasizes running and defense as well as developing young talent.
2. Draft well
3. Trade Lawson - he's made it known he doesn't want to be here, trade him for future assets. Help develop locker room chemistry
4. Re-establish home court advantage.

Thibs fired, no surprise there. Doesn't seem like a good fit here.

Yeah, Nuggets are not even interested in pursuing Thibs. It's gonna be between Hunt, Gentry and D'Antoni. I think Hunt ends up getting it.

True, but he will provide us with more coaching options...he'll go to either NOP or ORL, Hoiberg looks to be CHI's next coach so ....

Interview translated from Italian paper, he seems to want Hunt and had problems with Shaw, also says shaw was never on the same page as the team.

It looks like Woodson is next coach to interview with Nuggets.

Knicks fan here. I think Woodson would be a good coach for Lawson, Chandler, Gallinari, and Faried.

Only problem is that 3 of 4 players you mentioned, won't be here next season.

What makes you say that ? What style of play does he utilize ?
