15-25, which was his projected slot before he suffered a bad slump at Mizzou.

Around 10. You are forgetting that Clarkson turns 23 this summer.

Wiggins, Payton, Randle, Parker, Gordon, Lavine, Embiid would all be locks to go above him since they are all 2-3 years younger with high upside.

He's 5th on the Rookie 1st team... That means there are only 4 rookies better than him and at least one of them is questionable at best. He's got the tools and the intangibles... I'd say he'd be a lock at top 5 if last years lottery was done today... Meaning that he didn't get a year older.

i was thinking that too until i realized some of the other top picks were injured... ie. parker, gordon. but definitely top 15 at least.

Well, shouldn't getting injured be a factor? If the draft happened today, wouldn't they be injured? Even so, top 10 at worst for me. I think actual NBA success can't be undervalued.

Injured or not I think potential is a factor and in looking at what was on the board I'm thinking too 10.. Playing on a bad team I think his numbers where inflated and maybe other younger players have a higher ceiling.
Either way we got a steal!

this would mean that if the lakers offered clarkson for any of the non first team rookies the other team would want to make that deal, including the lakers valuing clarkson more than Randle. I think that's far from the case.

I'd limit his floor at 20, so somewhere in the first 5 post lottery picks

ah well i assumed since they were never drafted that they wouldnt be injured to begin with. still, we got away with top 10 level talent.

Even if a couple players were injured, I'd take them over Clarkson. I'd certainly still favor Randle over Clarkson if the draft were now. In 09-10, would you draft Tyreke over Griffin just because Blake was injured?

the 4 best point guards drafted were exum/smart/payton/clarkson

redrafting, it would go-
1.payton
2.clarkson
3.smart
4.exum

I think when talking about a guard that is clearly skilled enough with the ball enough to be the lead guard you can throw out the age argument. Goran Dragic was a 22 year old rookie and was irrelevant until his 4th year. To say clarkson has a lower ceiling because of his age is somewhat foolish. When the 2015-16 season starts clarkson will clearly be the best guard from that class due to his ability on both ends of the floor.

If the lakers offered clarkson to either Boston or Utah, you think they would agree to send smart/exum over? I just don't see it

im not saying they would, and i don't think they would either...im just saying that looking in 'hindsight' and seeing how well each rookie PG played, that should probably be the draft order if its redone....dante exum still has the most upside, by far, of any point guard and perhaps any player not named jabari/wiggins in that draft
