Trade Jose and THJ and do the math... Mudiay 3.5M, Matthews 8M Carroll 6M, Melo 22.5M, Gasol 18M = 58M in total

There's no way you're getting Carroll for 5.5 per year. He has been the Hawks best player in the playoffs.

I take advantage of the injury and take a gamble on Wesley Matthews. It's a high risk high reward, and he won't command as much money coming off an injury like he did. Of course do the due diligence and consult with doctors, but getting this guy cheap while being able to piece together some more FA's would be a steal IMO.

The only thing that worries me is because he is a defensive stud, will the injury inhibit his defense. But I take a gamble on this guy and go for the potential reward.

who some sgs or 3point specialist knicks can go after?

I hear danny greens name a lot around here. He would be nice but I dont trust ex spurs players. Ex spurs players seem to only play well in spurs system. I think George hill has been the only ex spur to play good after leaving the spurs. With that said Marco Belinelli would be a good pick up.lol Goran Dragic would be nice to. He and dragic would be sick. I live in phx and Dragic and Bledsoe played great together .idk why suns broke that up?

Here othe SGs or 3 point shooters I would like knicks to go after. But I wouldn't give any of these players max deals or big contracts.

Khris Middleton is ideal. Can play SF if we want to go small-ball and move Melo to the 4. However he is likely to be matched. We might have to take a risk and sign Wes Matthews hoping he recovers well from injury.

Take it, it's worth it. You're gonna get him on the cheap too. If you can't get those other guys, go for Matthews.

Mudiay hasn't even played a game yet. If the Knicks draft Mudiay they can try to sign Monta Ellis or another big guard like Affalo. Knicks shouldn't over pay either.

I like the job Millsap did on Bron last night in crunch time. If we're actually going to go through with the Melo and 2 bigs strategy Millsap would be a great fit because he can guard 3's and 4's and interchange with Melo on that end. Melo Millsap and D Jordan would be a nice fit if possible.

Phil Jackson is NOT signing DeAndre Jordan...no chance in hell. Phil would pursue a guy like Roy Hibbert instead who is the better system fit. He is NOT giving in on running the Triangle.

yeah - or Middleton for that 9mil

but man that would be a coup if we did it

Sadly that means Melo has to play the 4 but we can sign Elton Brand to the min and he's still good for 10 - 15 a night
