The Bulls and Knicks aren't good trade partners at the moment.

i dont think they'll let faried go but we can make a trade like that:

lawson+faried+w.chandler = thjr+#4 pick+calderon

lawson
shved
melo(chandler)
faried(chandler)
FA center if there is any space left.

Knicks give the 4th pick for W.Chandler and the 7th pick.

Mudiay/ LG (these two can compete for the starting point)
Green/ Shved/ Hardaway
Harris/ Early
Melo/Barg/Amundson
R.Lopez/Smith

Trade Calderon and possibly THJ

Our starters from this year is a decent bench for next year, we save money by not going for Max players this year and still compete, we still have our trade exceptions that we can use in any giving moment, and we can go after a max player next year while still being able to compete this year. Win Win.

this team would be a good balance of Defense, good spacing on offense, Harris would be Melo's Pippin and Green is like Fox, and our off-season woes and complaints can finally go away.

i like this roster.
i'm not sure about r.lopez or his backup smith rim defense but it looks fine we would make playoff with 4-6th seed. we should find h.whiteside type big man with good deal. maybe a.blatche? we can look for European Center's like a.tomic etc.

if we can trade calderon+thjr+4th pick for d.cousins then i would sign m.ellis.

galloway/shved
m.ellis(or middleton)
d.carroll
melo(bargs)
d.cousins(amundson)

Great minds think alike. I just feel that people are jumping the gun when they feel that if we don't get a max then all hope is lost. A well rounded team is what wins championships and this would be the beginning of a rebuild. Carroll or Harris, two players that WANT to be here and can help to complete.

Galloway/Shved/
Mudiay/Timmy/Thanasis
Middletton/Early/
Anthony/Lou/
M.Gasol/Ajinca/Cole

=> vets to consider: A.Miller, P.Pierce, R.Allen, E.Brand, M.Ginobili, G.Neal, J.Richardson, C.Brewer, M.Williams, K.Hinrich

I don't know why I keep hearing DG to Knicks rumors, tbh(well, I know he's from NY, but from a basketball perspective). He's absolutely not a product of the Spurs system, he's nothing like Gary Neal(atrocious defender, even when he was with the Spurs, always near the bottom in the league in all on/off metrics), for example, he's more likely to be a George Hill IMO. He has helped the Spurs become an elite defensive team(really, really good defender that gets overshadowed by Kawhi) and despite his cold shooting in the 1st round, he's one of the best playoff shooters of all-time(48% from 3 on 5 attempts per game in 2 consecutive runs to the Finals, which is a historic shooting rate).

However, he can't consistently create his own shot, as most of you should know, and he's a poor ball-handler. He's actually a pretty good passer and can make pull-up 3s at a high rate(developed that the past 2 years), but he can't put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim consistently, especially vs. elite rim protectors.

He needs creators on the floor. Finding creators is pretty easy IMO, but no offense, I don't really see it with this Knicks team. Green is more of a win-now player, and I think the Knicks are probably 2-3 years away from getting back to where they want to be, which makes it kind of pointless IMO, especially for the money he'll be getting(3&D guys are more valued than ever, and volume scorers are becoming hated around the league).

I saw a few Belinelli mentions, he could be a nice bench addition for the Knicks, I agree. Really good shooter that can shoot on the move and off the dribble, solid passer, but he's an absolutely embarrassing defensive player lol. If he's playing around 15 MPG, maybe 20, he can be a really solid bench guy, especially during the regular season.

I'm not a big bleacher report fan but they actually have some really good trade ideas in this article. Which one's would you guys do? I'd seriously think about a couple of these especially the one with the Bucks.

article with speculation: KNICKS/Lakers

Post#3048 » by Knick4Real » Sat May 23, 2015 3:33 pm

Found this rumor online. Take it for what it's worth.

The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers had historically bad seasons in 2015, and fans have to be sick of seeing them both on national television as frequently as they are. The Lakers struck draft lottery gold when they jumped up from the fourth best chance of the first pick, to landing the second overall pick. The Knicks were faced with the opposite end of the deal, moving down from second to fourth.

The Lakers are in desperation mode for an instant rebuild, rather than a gradual process, in a bid to give Kobe Bryant one last shot at a title. The Knicks on the other hand need a full rebuild, and should look at filling their roster with young and talented players. This potential deal would give the Knicks that exact opportunity and chance.Obviously other players would have to be added and swapped for cap reasons, but this would be the core of the hypothetical potential blockbuster trade.

Knicks receive: #2 overall pick, Julius Randle

Lakers receive: Carmelo Anthony

LINK: http://sports-kings.com/passthepill/kni ... -and-melo/

Author says KNICKS would have #2 AND #4 pick, which could land us at least Oakufur + possibly Mudiay for our future, as well as Randle, then a few FA's with our cap space. Discuss...

this makes no sense for the lakers. if kobe was still great then yeah make one last run for kobe. But Melo and this current Kobe can't win ****.

So what happens after the lakers make the playoffs and Melo starts aging? they are screwed and would have no future. They need to draft okafor.

I'm rather sure we've talked about this already, perhaps the author got it from ....I dont know.....us?

But this is no rumor, just a hypothetical trade scenario, really dont matter if I'd do it because neither team would.

The Lakers are prepared to move on from Kobe, he's retiring sooner rather than later, there will be no such last hurrah at a ring, even he knows it.

The Knicks arent gonna go into full rebuild either, Melo is a Knick and will stay as one.

You don't know the difference between a rumor and speculation? You're getting people excited about something that has no truth to it whatsoever.
