I wish it were an actual rumor.. I'd do that deal with the quickness... That would be a very "Classic Knicks" type of trade for the Lakers if they seriously would consider making that trade

i dont think they'll let faried go but we can make a trade like that:

lawson+faried+w.chandler = thjr+#4 pick+calderon

lawson
shved
melo(chandler)
faried(chandler)
FA center if there is any space left.

Knicks give the 4th pick for W.Chandler and the 7th pick.

No disrespect but god no.

Someone called WFAN this morning around 10 am claiming they saw the same rumor on ESPN's crawl.

Hopefully this leads to one tanking season. We trade a potential 2016 pick hat we get from LA for an established player. We sign AD, of KD, and then become contenders.

We can only hope Lakers want to trade for Melo - don't see anyway we could get #2 and Randle but if we could get Randle/Hill and maybe a 2016 pick ---- plus open up additional cap space I'm down. Collect young assets and create cap space - that's the game I'd be in.

Middleton and Henderson and 17 appeals

Do people actually read what they write.
The Knicks cannot trade #4 without getting a draft pick back in this year's draft due to Stepien Rule

If the lakers knew they could get Gasol and Rondo with whatever cap they had left in sure they'd do Melo for #2 (no Randle) and maybe a future pick.

Gasol
Randle
Melo
Kobe
Rondo

Would be a laker type offseason.

I agree with you except for the Embiid one just cause i don't like big men with injury histories with any part of their legs. The question is are any of them probable or are they wishful thinking??

Knick4Real wrote:Found this rumor online. Take it for what it's worth.

The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers had historically bad seasons in 2015, and fans have to be sick of seeing them both on national television as frequently as they are. The Lakers struck draft lottery gold when they jumped up from the fourth best chance of the first pick, to landing the second overall pick. The Knicks were faced with the opposite end of the deal, moving down from second to fourth.

The Lakers are in desperation mode for an instant rebuild, rather than a gradual process, in a bid to give Kobe Bryant one last shot at a title. The Knicks on the other hand need a full rebuild, and should look at filling their roster with young and talented players. This potential deal would give the Knicks that exact opportunity and chance.Obviously other players would have to be added and swapped for cap reasons, but this would be the core of the hypothetical potential blockbuster trade.

Knicks receive: #2 overall pick, Julius Randle

Lakers receive: Carmelo Anthony

Author says KNICKS would have #2 AND #4 pick, which could land us at least Oakufur + possibly Mudiay for our future, as well as Randle, then a few FA's with our cap space. Discuss...

Make it so, #1.

Very poor rumor/speculation idea.

Only way Lakers get serious about moving the pick is if Anthony Davis or another young max star suddenly becomes available. Hard to believe they'd trade for Carmelo Anthony. Ship sailed when he chose money (rightfully so or NY would've killed him for leaving them for nothing) over signing with LA outright.

When I first heard this I thought it was Carmelo and the 4th for the 2nd and Randle so I said hell no. I think that I'll still say hell no in all honestly because I think it's easier to build around Melo, a proven commodity, than to take on a couple of rookies and build around them. If the Lakers can't rebuild in LA why is it okay for the Knicks to rebuild in NY. Take the best player in the draft at 4 (or trade down and get more assets) then build through free agency. 2017 champions using this formula.
