Bradley has been fantastic tonight.
I like him playing up the field more and not dropping back as much.

Even worse, the Argos are moving to BMO next season...
Say goodbye to our soccer specific stadium with grass field. Say goodbye to Team Canada playing in Toronto. Say goodbye to top quality free agents choosing TFC.
What a disaster this move is going to be.

Does anyone in the city even watch the Argo's?

Not enough for them to destroy the cities only soccer stadium.
I'm guessing most Team Canada games will now be played in Montreal during the summer months. Only natural turf surface in the country now.

Kinda twisted that English Football will be destroyed by American Football.

No Altidore today, I guess we can pretend like he's there but not scoring tonight. With him it's either he scores or he may as well take a seat.

If CFL football destroys the pitch, I'm going to find a new team to follow. That's how serious I feel a proper soccer pitch is.

I won't give up on the team, but I'll certainly give up my TFC/Raps seasons. **** MLSE

Re: Toronto FC Discussion Thread II
I'm a little split on this BMO Field issue. On one hand, we need a world class soccer stadium in Toronto in order to continue growing the sport here and give TFC a chance to attract the best talent possible. But, on the other hand, the Argos don't have any other alternative options when it comes to ownership and venue to play. BMO Field's location and size suits them. This is the oldest professional team in the city and has so much history, we can't just let them fold. I just hope that this hybrid turf that MLSE has talked about can hold up and serve both teams.

Short sighted penny pinching MLSE as always. But hey than can get away with it because fans in this City only need to make the playoffs once in a decade at best to support the teams.
If TFC make the playoffs what the bandwagon load up. It may not be as big as it could have been.. But its that easy

What a strike, what a goal!
Pity the turf will be ruined next season and we'll no longer see goals like that in Toronto.

So what exactly is the beef? Why can't they both use the grass? Is the yard and goal lines the problem? Just paint them green back again no?

Re: Toronto FC Discussion Thread II
Good win and a great finish from Gio. Timbers really put the pressure on in the second half and I thought we were going to give up a goal at some point, but glad that I was wrong in the end. Toronto should have easily had 3 or 4 goals today.
I am still very angry and disappointed over the argos coming into BMO next season. Like Ozzy said, the biggest blunder is the fact that top tier stars will not sign here anymore. This really puts TFC back into the early days of MLS when clubs played in football stadiums with the lines on the field and 20,000 fans dwarfed in 80,000 capacity stadiums. I'm sure Don Garber and MLS are very disappointed with the decision for TFC to be sharing BMO with the Argos. I understand for practicality reasons it makes sense, but this will really set TFC back years and we will be known as one of the lower tier clubs in MLS.

Re: Toronto FC Discussion Thread II
Regarding BMO Field and the inclusion of the Argos....I don't want to see the Argos just fold. There are fans of the team in Toronto - even it the fan base is small. And it's the lesser of two evils.
The Jays have few options (none) for stadiums - so they need the Rogers Centre to be a good baseball-only stadium with grass. They can probably now reduce seats, etc...The Jays suck and are on the decline, but it's good to get the Argos out of there.
With BMO Field, it just makes the most sense. TFC fans will be upset but they need to understand their spot in the Toronto landscape...they maybe the #5 team in the city. If the Argos are off the radar, TFC is in another planet.....I almost never hear radio/TV talking TFC for longer than 3 minutes - and half the time it's about the stadium or MLSE shuffling.
