Re: 2015 MLB Regular Season Thread
Just watched Carpenter hit a HR and the Royals announcers are talking about how he was 245 in college.
anybody have a photo of him being fat back then?

best I could do but I'm positive he wasn't 245 right there.

true blessing to watch Harper at bats and watch him cook around the bases with his helmet falling off.
becoming more and more of a fan by the day.

ESPN types have no idea how to cover baseball. They were mocking Harper's hype pre-season, as if he were Dallas McPherson.

Just looked at some of the standings and was kinda shocked to see that the Atlanta Braves have a better record than the San Diego Braves at this point in the season.

Steven Strasburg is holding our team back.
Never thought I'd be saying that after going to his debut game five years ago where he was DOMINANT, but something is wrong with him. I don't know if he's hurt or just mentally soft or what, but the guy can't pitch worth crap right now.
Take away his starts and we pretty much can't lose at the moment.

Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Re: 2015 MLB Regular Season Thread
I have a question for you guys: What do you think of this "new generation" of players, or more specifically, hitters (Harper, Trout, Puig, Bryant, etc.)? There seem to be two camps;
Camp 1: Tend to be older. They don't like all of the theatrics, such as bat flipping and celebrating strikeouts. They'd rather see those players act more professionally. No disrespecting the game or breaking the unwritten rules.
Camp 2: Tend to be younger. They love all of the theatrics. As long as something interesting is happening, then everything's fine. They don't care about the players acting like professionals. Old customs mean nothing.

I don't believe there's anyone who doesn't like Mike Trout.

Camp 2.

I personally think Orel stood and looked in the sky too long after that strike out.
But good think the As were in Camp 2 and knew not to make a stink about it.
