Jabari Parker vs Dario Saric as nba prospects.
I see them both as combo forwards in the nba . The more I watch Dario Saric develop his shot and move up and down the court in games this year I really don't see much of a talent gap between he and Parker.
I think Dario is a much better passer , comparable Ballhandler and shooter and slightly less of a athlete . I want to know how far is the gap between Saric and Parker as prospects ? If any at all.

Re: Jabari Parker vs Dario Saric as nba prospects.
It's hard to really say because there isn't all that much film out there of him from this year, but based on the highlights I've seen, Jabari seems far more athletic/fluid to me. And while Saric has a good handle, I think his lesser athleticism will make it more difficult for him to do as much with it as Jabari can. And I'd say Jabari appears to be a better finisher around the rim as well.
That's not to take anything away from Saric. He's a very interesting prospect, but I don't think he's on Jabari's level. I do think he's a better passer at least, but I don't think he'll ever be the scorer that I think Jabari will become (provided he stays healthy).

Jabari is more athletic and better finisher while Dario is better passer and has higher basketball IQ, also Dario is bigger.
Anyways, Dario is not a guy that will dominate in the NBA. But he plays with heart every game he's in. He does anything that is required of him; jumps, scores, passes. I think he will be 10-7-2 player in the NBA overall, very good sixth man or a decent starter. Anyhow, every team needs a player like this, kind of player that submits himself to the team completely.

I'm quite down on Parker as a prospect in the NBA and have followed Saric a decent amount this year and like him a lot but Parker is still a better prospect.
Parker has one elite skill versus Saric who is more of a jack of all trades. The issue is that Parker does that one thing so well and it is so valuable that it makes up for all the other stuff.

The feedback I've received from our fans is they understand we are trying to build something great. Good decisions come from having a broad set of options and making tough calls. We will do it unblinkingly. We have to be willing to take smart risks-Hinkie

I am probably one of few people here who actually saw more Saric games than Parker games this season. I am not very well familiar with Parker yet. As for Saric, he still has a long way to go. I don't see him as a star, hes an ultimate role player. 13 pts. +8 rbs. +4 asi. is realistic for him IMO.

Jabari is more athletic, better shooter and craftier scorer. Pretty much the reason he went 2nd and Saric was 12th pick in the same draft.
Saric is lacking in athleticism/shooting, but effort is a skill and he gives you all he has every single night. The kind of a player you can go to war with. Coaches will love him and he will be terrific role player for 10+ seasons.

Re: Jabari Parker vs Dario Saric as nba prospects.
It's pretty dirty to compare prospects retroactively, when one since blew his acl. Are you going to say afterward if they have a similar career, "see, I told you there wasn't a gap between them as prospects", while ignoring one suffered the most dreaded semi-common injury for an athlete before he could get off the ground? It would be kind of like if Grant Hill a couple months in to his rookie season was in the midst of those severe ankle problems, then after that season you said you didn't see the difference between him and Michael Finley as a prospect. Now, let's find out....
I hope Jabari recovers to be nearly the same, and he probably will from one acl, but who knows. This is a major variable that didn't exist at the time when the two players were drafted. Otherwise Jabari would have gone significantly lower. Look at Noel's drop from 1 to 6 from a similar injury, and that was in a terrible draft. I'd venture to guess Jabari would have gone about 8th in his.
Before the injury, especially factoring in Jabari had a ways to go on his body still; it seemed like he was on a path to be a star. His PER was better than ROY and #1 pick Andrew Wiggins posted. The defense was sub-par, outside of steals. But his rebounding was decent and I'd say his offense was better than expected, even though that was his perceived strong-suit coming in. HIs ts% was 52, which is on the high side for a scoring rookie. He was awesome around the rim, to a level that only Saric can dream of. He had a decent mid-range j. Just needed to extend it out further to stretch a d. And he showed pretty good court vision to find his teammates, actually. It's ironic you'd knock his passing, because that was a pleasant surprise to many once he didn't feel like he had to carry his team like in college. He wasn't a ball-stopper.
How about instead picking on someone more like Aaron Gordon, to prop up Saric, and imply he should have gone much higher? Then it wouldn't look like such a cheapshot.

Sixers fans seem to have a habit of propping up their players against superior prospects.

If this is a shot at Wiggins vs Noel both guys were number one on most draft boards for a reason. One of those guys has already shown to be an All NBA level player in his reason (defense) and the other looked like a rookie on the floor (I still don't know what reason Wiggins was so highly regarded... his athleticism?).
To answer the thread Jabari was way better than Saric and it wouldn't surprise me that if Jabari comes back healthy and doesn't miss a stride next year he'll be better than Sarix will ever be. He was already a 13/6/2 player before he went down and many have that as what they expect from prime Saric

People were caught up in his HS height which grew an incredible amount, and once college started too many guys didn't want to admit that Wiggin's didn't look all that great. Aka, they had to stick to their guns.
Embiid was the higher rated prospect than Wiggins while they were playing on the same team - it's ridiculous hindsight when people act like Embiid shouldn't be ranked higher than Wiggins. I don't get how one rookie season would somehow rewrite who is a better prospect than Embiid had clear separation in terms of potential during their college years.

What range does Dario Saric go if he was in this upcoming draft? Top 5? Top 10? Top 20?

I think he would go somewhere between 9th and 13th pick, so basiclly same range as last year. Top 8 guys are one tier above him upside-wise.
