I've had significantly more mark out moments watching NXT in the past year than the past several years of the main roster shows.

Pretty much knew Joe was gonna show up tonight but it still surprised me and literally had me on the edge of my seat.

Fantastic show. Rhyno-Baron Corbin sucked and the main event was more an angle than a match (although I'm certainly not complaining about that) but everything else either met my very high expectations (Breeze-Balor) or exceeded my expectations.

In addition to looking smoking hot, Emma did a really solid job as a full-fledged heel. It appears Samoa Joe is keeping his name and I think this is a good move. He's probably entering WWE with a higher profile than anyone they've brought in that wasn't a former WCW or ECW guy. And he's so intrinsically associated with that name that I'm not sure its worth it to change it.

He's definitely keeping his name.

H is so sneaky. He had me convinced that Joe hadn't been signed during that conference call yesterday.

Bex-Banks was MOTN.

Although, as safi has already mentioned, the main event was more of an angle than a match. But it was about as good as pro wrestling gets, really.

If you go to wwe.com right now the front page is Samoa Joe facing off with Kevin Steen. It's still hard to wrap my head around that.

Why can’t WWE just do something different for once?

They've got Samoa Joe shirts for sale in the shop, and from what I just read they're allowing him to work independent bookings as well (even though it might just be bookings that he already had made before he signed). Definitely a change going on within the company. I know not every wrestler is going to be treated so well and be given those perks but it has been a pretty hard and fast rule that you flat out weren't allowed to work indy bookings if you were under contract with WWE. There always has to be someone to start change. Joe appears like he might be that guy.

Also, hearing the crowd chant U-Haa!, U-Haa!, U-Haa!, U-Haa! last night was pretty awesome. Maybe they let him keep his name too since they still haven't acknowledged what his name is. Even if they change his name I don't really care. It would just take some time to get used to calling him something else. As Owens, Zayn, Balor, Itami have proven if the work is still quality, and as long as they don't get sandbagged with crappy characters, a name is somewhat irrelevant.

While we're on the subject of WWE doing something different...

I marked out like a little bitch when Joe came out. I wasn't expecting him, H had me fooled he wasn't signed.

I just saw Joe's promo from after Takeover. And after watching it I wonder if he signed a deal with NXT, not WWE. There's no plans on bringing him to the main roster, but he'll be on NXT, he'll do some NXT live events, can keep his Indy dates and doesn't have to sit in a classroom listening to Billy Gunn explain how to get over.

I can't stand the name changing thing. So stupid. The worst is changing Sami Callihan to Salomon Crowe. The goofiest was when they changed Kenta to itami during a show. They had Hogan introduce him on his debut and Hogan was like "this is Kenta brother"! Then later in the show they were like "next week you will see our newest addition Hideo itami in action"
