Now that I'm turning around on signing Monroe, I have a feeling Okafor is going to drop to us.
I'd like to see us fill in the blanks around Melo, Monroe and Mudiay/Russell.

First draft either Winslow or Euro 2 super Mario

2nd use provision on Calderon save 4 mil

3rd get LA and Gasol in the same room July one pitch to them hey we can get our own big 3 HAve them sign a two year deal with an out after one year. that way they can get there max contact after a year.

4th resign J smith AB l Thomas Alex shed and another energy guy.

I looked at some GS numbers.

I think they are full of **** about matching Draymond Green's offer sheet. They have to move some combination of Iggy, Lee, and probably have to pair either or both with Barnes, whose going to need a new contract soon himself.

Throw the max at Draymond and let's see how committed they are to paying 45m in luxury tax (hint: i think not)

As previously mentioned, #4 isn't available if I'm GM. But if I had to swing a deal, it'd be for two firsts. #8 and #18 or something like that. Not #6 and two role players.

Part 2 of that horrible trade: What exactly is Milwaukee getting?

Monroe is not a pf...People need to realize this. He's too slow

You can see in my scenario's I really think we should be targeting those "elite role playing types" in Free Agency and trade market for guys like Danny Green and Taj Gibson...while looking to DRAFT our future "star" (at least I hope it to be) in Russell or Mudiay...and shoot big on the big time FA's like Gasol or Aldridge (I prefer Gasol)...but still have strong contingencies with bigs like Monroe and Hibbert.

I know bringing back Bargs won't sit well with some, but if all he costs was the min or at worst the bi-annual exception...who cares? He fits the Triangle, could give us scoring off the bench or insurance in case a guy like Melo went down (we could run offense through him). Re-signing guys like Shved in some scenarios makes perfect sense. I don't think he and Manny should be part of the same roster as they duplicate more than they compliment. Re-signing guys like Cole and Amundson for some hustle and grit off the bench (as well as some level of continuity within the roster) is fine by me as well.

I think this team needs vets who contribute as part of the rotation. I really like the idea of Mo Williams off the bench in this system (kind of like a Jason Terry type). I would target guys like Corey Brewer (who could opt out), FA's like Welsey Johnson as well as looking into the situations of guys like Batum and Ariza in the trade market. Not sure I'm sold on Cleanthony Early and Thanasis as potential members of our rotation if we want to truly compete / contend.

Why do Bucks move 2 big's -- one (Henson) who was a big bright spot against the Bulls and the other (Ilyasova) who played pretty good..for a young SG who will sit behind the likes of Middleton, Mayo, Bayless...etc? You had to watch the Kings to understand how absolutely brutal Stauskus was defensively -- he makes THJ look like Tony Allen on D.

I haven't even gotten to the Calderon piece and why Bucks would take his deal and washed up game.

I like the idea of going after Brandon bass. He's a real low key player that would be cheap to get. Not a lot of teams are looking to get him either. His numbers are basically identical to Taj Gibsons, only thing is his defense is not as good. Knicks could get him and pair him up with a good free agent big and they wouldn't have to give up any assets to get him like a first round pick or Tim Hardaway. It would be much better than tying up all our cap with a guy like Paul Millsap

We could have a team like

Mudiay
Tim Hardaway/Galloway
Carmelo
Brandon Bass
Marc Gasol (or LMA or Greg Monroe)

Bench:

Calderon
Galloway/Tim Hardaway
Cleanthony
etc.

That's a solid team that can make the playoffs. And we keep Hardaway and our picks and so we can make more moves in the future.

For all of the people that want to sign Tobias Harris you received a bit of good news today, Scott Skiles wasn't very high on him in Milwaukee and gave him up pretty easy and now he's coaching the Magic. That has to make it a tad more likely that the Magic would be apprehensive to match him.
