Nemanja Bjelica (one of our picks traded to get Booker), is the Euro League MVP. I wonder if Flip will try to get him.

Solid tweener forward in the NBA - would be a good backup stretch 4 - IMO.

"Jae is definitely a priority," Gotham said. "He added a lot to our team. He added toughness, energy and confidence. I think he gave our guys a little swagger and I think his attitude and the way he plays the game rubbed off on our team.

So TSW was ultimately proven right about Crowder as a good 2nd round, bench player. I'll be on the lookout for his YODA report.

Its clear the Bulls quit in Game 6. Based on this on the WT.

The Chicago Bulls are expected to resolve the future of Tom Thibodeau by Friday with his dismissal likely unless Jerry Reinsdorf unexpectedly intervenes at the last minute.

Thibodeau is owed $9 million over the final two years of his contract.

Fred Hoiberg is widely considered the favorite to replace Thibodeau.

According to sources, some players didn't endorse Thibodeau's return in exit meetings with management.

Some players have been making separate offseason plans for several summers to get a break from Thibodeau, who rarely leaves the practice facility.

Thibodeau has had no dialogue with John Paxson, the executive vice president of basketball operations, since Paxson suggested to Thibodeau that he cancel an unplanned practice he had scheduled in January and merely hold a team meeting with open dialogue with players. Several players praised the meeting.

Thibodeau is so isolated that he typically spends all day behind his closed office door.

Thibodeau reportedly never got over management letting Omer Asik and Kyle Korver leave for nothing in free agency, took months to sign his contract extension and bristled at management's imposing of minute restrictions for Joakim Noah, Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich this season.

Sources confirmed Thibodeau's contract contains offset language, which means the Bulls' financial commitment would be "offset" by the amount he would make if hired by another team before the deal expires in 2017.

Update: The Bulls announced the firing of Thibodeau on Thursday.

Apparently a big sore spot with Bulls mgt was the last game of the regular season last season. Thibbs played the starters huge minutes in a ot game that didn't matter. They ended up tired against us.

I read a long article about this and Thibs really ran his players into the ground. One day Noah said to him after a grueling workout "If we weren't winning i would really hate you". Thibs responded "I feel the same way about you".

Definitely.

I remember about 30 years ago, when I was working at New Carrollton Mall, Danny Ferry hung out there (wearing the dreaded Dematha letterman jacket. They used to get all the calls). :)

He was maybe the top HS prospect back then....

Ferry has been made a scapegoat over some PC BS. That guy's not a racist. His dad was GM the only time Washington won a championship. I am sure son could be the one to get talented players that can win another.

Lsb, you beat me to it. Ferry (or Troy Weaver) for GM.

Ferry did a good job in ATL the last couple years.

He would be an instant upgrade over Grunfeld.

Royce White getting one more shot? That was smart of the Clips to give him a camp deal.

Ruz, thoughts?

I like them, particularly the home whites. I dig the piping on sides. Big improvement, IMO. Pretty classic.

Great jerseys. I spend time over at Chris Creamer's Sports Logos board; if you're into this kinda stuff, you'll find them to be a knowledgeable community.

Unis aside, the other takeaway from this photo is that Jabari looks to be in far better shape than he did as a rookie. His face is leaner and his arms are more defined, but he hasn't lost any muscle mass. Of course, this could be photoshop, but I doubt they'd bother using tools to airbrush away baby fat.

Exactly - I couldn't believe that was Parker - I had to double-check the number. I gotta confess - I'm not much of a judge of unis - what looks good and what doesn't - though back in the Wes Unseld days, the Bullets had some bizarre looking unis that I wasn't crazy about.

Detroit traded for Ersan. Pistons sent Shawne Williams and Butler to Milwaukee. Butler is probably going to get cut before his deal becomes guaranteed and Williams has no contract I believe so this was a salary dump.

Can't help but wonder if Webster and Blair would have gotten it done. Or even just Webster and a 2nd rounder.

Huh... I dont need wonder. It would not have gotten it done. Why would the Bucks pay 5.8 for Webster this year and at least 2.8 next year when they could just cut Butler for nothing?

^ Adding the full article to what Raf posted above:

The Milwaukee Bucks traded forward Ersan Ilyasova to the Detroit Pistons, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The acquisition of Ilyasova gives the Pistons a power forward to replace Greg Monroe, who could leave the franchise in free agency this summer.

Detroit sent forward Caron Butler and Shawne Williams to Milwaukee in the trade. Those two players have non-guaranteed deals that will probably be waived, clearing significant salary cap space for the Bucks. Milwaukee could have as much as $22 million in cap space this summer.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/source--bucks-traded-forward-ersan-ilyasova-193143572.html;_ylt=A0LEVjhK43lVz8MA85EnnIlQ;_ylu=X3oDMTByMjB0aG5zBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzYw--

Interesting that (at least in this article) this is framed as a Monroe replacement for Detroit.

And then for Milwaukee, it's cool that they have so much space, but who are they going to use it on? :dontknow:

Agreed. Folks have to remember that Ersan's final year is only like $400K guaranteed, so he's essentially an expiring contract. So there's no need for Milwaukee to take back any 2016 salary in an Ersan trade, unless it's for a better player.

My rough numbers show them having only 43M committed next year including the Sanders Buy out and Middleton Caphold...
i keep seeing 22M reported as their cap space, but im getting closer to 24M... Anyone know for sure.

They can go after Monroe/Gasol/Asik/Lopez/ Jordan etc to fill in at the 5, then sign Middleton for 10-12M.

MCW / Ennis / Bayless
Middleton / Mayo
Giannis / Dudley
Parker / Henson / Plumlee
Lopez / Zaza / Plumlee

Then in 2016 they can let Bayless, Mayo, Dudley, and Zaza walk and have the following squad with 40M+ in Cap Space...WOW

MCW / Ennis
Middleton
Giannis
Parker
(Lopez/Gasol/Jordan/Etc)

They will also have RFA rights on Plumlee and Henson if they want to keep either or Sign and Trade

If Milwaukee gets the right guy, you could make a case for them to be a top 5 seed. AsikMonroe won't be coming there, Asik won't move the needle. Gasol I think stays put but Lope on that team? 50 win potential
