How giving my honest opinion is trolling? it is really that unreasanoble to think that those guys are ahead of Whiteside, who has had half a good season in his career? really?
How me been a Mavs fan exactly matters? Am I not allowed to post here because of it?

I get it, you feelin' yo'self after the recent Wade news and couldn't wait for the opportunity to spread some fertilizer across this board :D how many threads you visit since? I ain't mad at cha, good for you. Flourish young man...

But sit with this: Wade is currently better than anyone on that Mavs squad and it's not even close. Maybe you'll get lucky and he opts out so Cuban can attempt to "overpay" him

If you think Omer friggin Asik, Hibbert, and the current incarnation of Joakim Noah is better than Whiteside today, I'm going to need you to sit on the 'we don't give a damn about your opinion' bench.

Nobody here cars about your **** up opinions. You're not a Heat fan and not a smart or objective poster either. This entire board would back me up. You bring nothing of value here.

If you like to hear yourself talk that much, go post on the General board. That's what it's for. GTFO with your stupid trolling constantly disrespecting our players ON OUR OWN BOARD.

I voted top 8, just based on raw talent. I fully expect him to make the leap to top 5 and top 3 in the coming years.

For a single playoff series this season, I'd probably rather have 7 other centers (Duncan, Howard, Cousins, Marc Gasol, Pau Gasol, Horford, Jefferson). But if we're drafting all current NBA players for the future going forward, Cousins would be the first center on my board but after that I just might roll the dice with Whiteside ahead of Drummond and Gobert. His ceiling is just so high -- he's potentially a superstar -- and if this season was his floor then at worst he's a very high impact player defensively and serviceable offensively.

It would be a debate if you stated why you named the centers you did even though hassan had better stats than most of them and destroyed most of them head to head.

I'll give you the lack of body of work due to games played, but if last season was the floor...

Fischella is well known for having some outlier opinions. He was on the Wolves board recently telling them that Towns was a bum. He's a sideshow act, and has been quoted a number of times for his outlandish statements.

Whiteside may very well end up being Jeremy Lin.
I need a strong full season from him , so that I get convinced. Other teams now have scouted him, and know him better. It will be harder for him next year.

Based on a half season, you would take Whiteside top 5?

DeAndre Jordan - Cousins - Drummond - Vucevic - Brook Lopez - Dwight Howard

If Whiteside has to get there, he has to do more then half a season showing. As now, he can end up being jeremy lin.

Awful comparison, not one that I'd expect from a Heat fan. When Jeremy Lin had his run he had an insanely high usage rate. He was scoring but if you look at the numbers there were signs that he was going to come crashing down. Thanks to his high usage rate his points went up as did his assists but so did his turnovers. That's a pretty big distinction. It lets you know whether the person breaking out is simply stepping up their game or simply holding the ball more.

As far as scouting Whiteside, did you watch him play? At the start teams were definitely ignoring him. Opposing bigs would aggressively double Wade in the PnR as a result Whiteside would constantly get wide open lobs. That stopped in a hurry though. Teams started committing multiple defenders to him when ever he dove to the basket.

Hell at the end of the season the majority of his points were coming off of ISO post ups over the likes of Noah, Jonas V., and Vucevic. The scouting report on Hassan was out there, post Kelly Olynic teams were even sending their bigs out to irritate Hassan in an attempt to get him ejected.
