I'll still try to get Cousins from Kings...
Get another team involved to get Kings what they want.
The list is very short no doubt...
They want to run and gun? Then try to get them a run/gun big man.
Suns can then build an In and Out team with Cousins. Wishing obviously.

It's ironic to me that the people who are tired of the Morris twins and the low IQ guys want Cousins. No doubt he's a supreme talent, but the dude is a ticking time bomb.

Re: Official Free Agent Thread: What to do with our cap space
I think it's important to be realistic with trade thoughts. Last year it was Horford and now it's Cousins. I think we all know Cousins is a stud and many would want him, but I don't see them trading him, at least not for our guys. They have a bunch of power forwards already. They need a pg, but if they trade for one, I'm guessing it will be Lawson, and they won't be giving up Cousins.

It's only ironic if the Mobros were in anyway comparable to Cousins in talent or on-court impact.

Cousins is a 23/12 big man....when he starts winning 50 games and he will be a top 3 MVP candidate.
I would surround him with 3D players and a head-strong PG who can get him the ball. Someone like a Mike Conley level PG would be a huge boost to a player like Cousins.. a PG who leads him.
Morris twins can be replaced easily....
besides, thats my opinion and what I would do.
Why dont you share what YOU would do... keep the twins and hope for the best? its an option I suppose.

Re: Official Free Agent Thread: What to do with our cap space
I don't think Markieff is a low iq player. Marcus probably just tries to do too much to prove his worth, and it turns him into a low iq player often. I think Marcus has a chip on his shoulder and that just needs to go away. I think he would probably be in a better situation on a better team and may find some success.
We are just young, and players keep having to mesh with new players, and that makes it tough. I wouldn't say we have a really high iq player, other than possibly Knight, but some say he makes bad decisions. I'll judge myself on that when he gets to play with a team he is used to.

How about no one talks about Cousins at all
Because there's 0% chance he gets traded, it's tiring

Tucker and Marcus Morris at the 2 and 3 spots to finish out the year. C'mon. These guys are such pathetic starters it is embarrassing. I find it hilarious some people think Tucker is a good role model for young players. Not only does the guy have off the court issues, he is one of the least talented starting small forwards in the league. All he does is try hard. He does nothing else. His basketball iq is horrible. I would take Jared Dudley over him any day. The Suns need a complete overhaul. I would trade everyone on the team besides Len, Warren, and Goodwin if I could. The problem is that no one wants what the Suns have. You know why? Besides what the Suns have is GARBAGE.
Yeah, those lineups with Tucker and Mook to finish out the season were seriously vomit inducing
McD should have traded Goran in the summer of 2014 when his value was highest
Instead he drank the koolaid and thought a team that had almost made the playoffs the previous year based on the miraculous contributions of a bunch of roleplayers could again make the playoffs the next year

Three years of tanking:
2013 Len
2014 Embiid
2015 Russell
Lets assume that outside of those picks we had our current group. I get that we wouldn't but for the sake of making this easy to see. I think we still take Len. We were him or Oladipo in that draft.
Bledsoe/Knight
Russell/Green
Tucker/Morris
Morris/Wright
Embiid/Len
Look, I get that some of these players wouldn't be here from their trades, etc. But just sit and stare at that a moment and imagine how excited we would be for tipoff next year. That said I think tanking is crap and sucks. I wouldn't do it. But fansturbation is free.
Yeah, I always think about these scenarios
If could be any variation, imagine Len, Wiggins, and Russell. Damn
Instead we conbuilded. As if Houston miraculously landing Harden validated our entire long-term basketball strategy
Also, glad you're back!

Why does no one mention the serious negatives to having Thibs?
- He'll run Len and Bledsoe into the ground. Enjoy having Len play 50 minutes for some random OT game in December
- His offensive sets are some of the most predictable ever. I hesitate to even call them plays. Horny is Leonardo DaVinci compared to him
- He'll stick to his veterans. Enjoy seeing Mook and PJ play way too many minutes than they deserve while Goodwin and Warren sit on the bench
- The guy belongs in the Stone Age and won't change for anyone
If Horny does leave, I'd like us to pick up someone young from the college ranks
Like a Brad Stevens type. (hard to find)

I've always said Melo. We need a star in Phoenix. Don't care who it is. Bring some excitement. I want to be relevant again. We have enough young players. Archie, Len and Warren are good. Get proven players with our core.

Waste of **** time
Any semi-intelligent basketball fan would relish the opportunity of getting a superstar, regardless of their attitude
As if superstars are so easy to come by for the Suns ginolbliflops would pass on Cousins because he's a "headcase"
get over it and convince yourself

If we are going to talk about going after Cousins, why don't we go ahead and talk about going after Harden, Curry and Anthony Davis?

Re: Official Free Agent Thread: What to do with our cap space
We need to be looking for rookie-scale contracts that are stuck behind or overshadowed by other quality starters. Those are usually the guys with untapped talent, and unrealized potential to become All-Stars. They also can be risky, but that is usually where the diamonds in the rough are found.
Here are some of those examples from this year:
Danny Green, Harrison Barnes, Kevin Seraphin, Otto Porter, Mason Plumlee, Wes Mathews (doesn't exactly fit the mold above). This list is just an example, and obviously not the best. We need under the radar guys to come. I think at this point in PHX we are better off building an All-star than attracting one via FA. I think that means keeping our pick this year unless a good offer comes along. I think Frank Kaminsky (#13) has a better chance of bringing PHX some good attention than our chances of pulling in a legit All-Star FA.

I think Harrison, and Green have received a ton of attention this season and last season respectfully. Mason got a ton of burn when Lopez went down.
Seraphin and Porter are under the radar. I like Matthews, and I think Jeff does as well, but unless we move Bledsoe, or choose not to resign Knight (which is highly doubtful), I don't see us going for him.
I think Kaminsky would do well here. He rebounds well, seems pretty smart, and could open lanes for our guards.

As long as that player has All-Star potential.
We have players 4-15 on a championship team, but no clear big 3.
