I don't see us getting much out of 2016 free agency, the next offseason though we could be in the game if we don't do anything stupid. Getting rid of D-Will ahead of time to me is moreso about a complete culture change, he can be stretched either now or next summer, whatever. I don't want this guy around anymore his lack of competitive fire and leadership are a cancer to this team and the young players we acquire this summer do not need to have an overpaid sack of garbage in the locker room showing them how not to be a professional athlete.

the way its looking we might not eve have the money to make moves in 16-17 free agency. if brook and thad are signed at what i think they will and they dont walk away from mirza we could be looking at something like:

Deron 21M
Brook 20M ----- (resigned full max)
Thad 15M ------ (resigned 3/45)
Bogs 3.5M
Mirza 6M -------- (resigned 3/18)
Brown 1.1M
Jefferson 1.1M
Plumlee 2.3M
This years rookie 1.4M

thats 71.4M committed and not counting 3 cap holds, other rookies, or anyone we sign with an exception and assume we decline jacks option.

and even worse, its 56M tied up in dwill/thad/lopez, a pretty underwhelming core. What is worst, is that this situations isnt even remotely improbable.

this is why i preached HUMILITY and DISCIPLINE this offseason/next year.

-let guys expire
-dont give big money deals
-bite the bullet and stretch dwill
-dont trade joe unless its for others who expire
-dont throw away young/cheap assets or picks

Yeah that's pretty dire. Windrem said that think 18-20 for Lopez and 11-12 for Thad but knowing how moronic King is Thad may actually get 15 mil per, which is ridiculous.

I have zero hope of every getting out of this mess.

Lopez is getting the full max. that is a certainty.

Thad will at the very least see a raise on the 10M he made last year. even at 11M thats a horrible idea. over 2/3 of the cap tied into dwill/thad/brook alone.
