Shaw did a great job as an assistant for the Pacers. All the players there respected him.
Where the Pacers had a much better Team and a good defensive HC in Vogel (yes he was new to the job etc, but still) plus guys like Dan Burke etc. What did Shaw do to make the Pacers Offense better? (serious question)
Im not talking player management or development, I am taking Xs and Os.
With Adams, the Warriors already have a defensive coach, Gentry was in large parts responsable for the offense. So what does Shaw bring to the table? In Denver he turned a low seeded playoff team that was relying on small ball and a high pace (guard and wing heavy team) to a team that focused on slower pace with more inside-out game. That was bold.
The first year was full of injury, I give him that, but the second year he was just plain bad.
I just want the Warriors to surround themselves with the best available coaches, like they should as the best team. I dont consider Shaw as one of the best coaches.
