Carl Landry out 4-5 months

Post#1 » by City of Trees » Tue Jun 2, 2015 11:14 pm

Bill Herenda tweeting Kings announce rehab for CarlLandry rehab will begin immediately & he’ll be out 4-5 months. Sounds like training camp return.

This guy cannot catch a break in a Kings uniform. I feel bad for the guy. Can the Kings still trade him while he's recovering from surgery?

I'm guessing he tried to do therapy on it and had to bite the bullet and opt for surgery. Tough dude if that ligament was torn and he just taped it and played through it. No wonder he was wincing after every layup.

Less likely to be a trade where we return a valueable player now. Maybe a salary dump where a with space takes a shot at Landry recovering and being a spark guy 3rd or 4th bench guy, if it happens at all. Like you said, I feel for him. Seems like he really likes the team and city and he hasn't been able to make an impact unfortunately.

My money is on Landry being on the roster opening night.

This might be a good thing in a way because it might explain why he went from being a solid rotation piece with GS to absolutely unplayable in the span of 18 months.

Agreed. If anything this explains how come he was so terrible and not getting any lift on his shot. He was always solid for Houston, GSW and his first trip in Sac. Really hope he rebounds..

Question for fellow Kings fans, would you guys trade Landry for David Lee? It saves the Warriors 9 or so million for next year before the cap rise and for the Kings it takes off the last year of Landrys deal.

Personally I would wait to see if we could do anything better with the capspace but if we cannot I would be open to it since it frees up the books for 2016 and at this point Lee is probably superior to Landry.

The Warriors might just decide David Lee is pretty important after this Cavs series.
