offensively he is overrated IMO but you can't deny the impact this guy is having on the defensive side.

I don't think anybody rates Draymonds offensive ability, he's an averageish 3 point shooter, doesnt really create his own shot and has mediocre footwork in the post, but he cuts off ball well and is a generally high BBIQ player.

Lance Stephenson just shoots the ball too much and too badly.

Nice video interview with Towns at the bottom: http://zagsblog.com/articles/towns-says-he-has-no-preference-between-wolves-lakers-working-on-interview-schedule/

Nice comments on how he views himself and also playing against Okafor. Great interview presence and obviously knows how to talk to the media. Also says he loves working out in LA and would work out for teams.

hypothetical question....whats more beneficial to us for this draft between the 2 options below.
1. Trading back from 2 to get two lottery picks this year (6-13) and getting rid of young
2. Packaging Randle with 27th/34th to get 4th or 5th pick

Randle is better than the 4th or 5th pick so I'd say go option 1. WCS could turn out to be great next to Randle, in addition to MarioOrStanley. I think people are underestimating our chances of getting Marc or any FA for that matter this year. Even with no FAs this would be nice for durant to step into- he would turn all these second year players into killers, and by 2017 they would be ready.

2016
Clarkson
Mario #27
Durant
Randle
WCS #34

Many of the Lakers draft invites have been guys that are likely to go higher than 27 and lower than 34. I can see the Lakers trading up for Anderson and then getting into the second round for Petteway.

That'd be a great fit with regards to the pieces on that team

- Clarkson 6-5
- Petteway 6-6 with the great wingspan and the outside shot as well as 1-1 ability
- Anderson 6-6 3 and D sure but also has the ability to shoot and drive off of screens
- Randle
- Towns

They'd work seamlessly together.

Just a shame that we could possibly be a pick or 2 or 3 higher if the SPURS had won that last regular season game.

That line up would be if we traded #2 this year for two lower picks in the lottery. Like Mario in the 6-8 range and WCS in the 8-13. We could pick a SG with #27 and a C with #34 to develop behind them. That is the roster I posted for Durant.

sorry lol didnt notice i was with my girl. anyway i dont think we should trade down. too much potential in Kareem Abdul Towns (lol) and big Oak to pass up. but if we want to pick russell or mudiay i think theres when we trade down to 3 or 4 and get assets. although knicks looks like doesnt have much lolol

Pick 27 ( or 34 if he falls)

We should take a look into an interesting Draft and Stash big, Guillermo Hernangomez, Nbadraft.net has it going spurs , Draftexpress has him coming to Us with our late firsts.

He can become a Solid offennsive Starter or great Sixth man combo Pf/C or actualy a very good starter/fringe allstar if he develops some muscle and better defense.
Let him polish 2/3 years in europe whilst not wasting capspace and get him here when ready.
Much better than taking the Upshaw risk right away.

I'm fine with a euro stash but prefer if we do it with the 34th. Euro stash players tend to only want to come over for MLE type money so its pointless to use a 1st pick on them since we wont get the benefit of a cheap rookie contract.

No.

This team needs to inject talent into the roster now to be players in free agency in 2016. That is their obvious plan - I highly doubt we draft and stash a player in the 1st round, especially if we trade up. Makes no sense what so ever.

This shows our philosophy vs the Celtics. Celtics think that this is the NFL draft, that the more picks the better. We realize however, theres a lot of trash down there that is unnecessary on a 12man roster.

My ideal draft would be Okafor/Towns-Justin Anderson-Tokoto. I don't know how we can end up with both Anderson and Tokoto but would be so so happy if we can make it happen. Two athletic good defenders, not high ceiling but both can be good to great role players in this league. Anderson is very athletic, strong, developing 3s and Tokoto is also athletic, can handle and create for others and share some ball handling duties with future PG(Hopefully an improved Jordan Clarkson can fill that role).

well if the Chi/LaL deal can go through we could get Anderson at 22 with Chi pick (he is projected there on draftexpress). For Tokoto I see him in mid-late 2nd which we could buy a pick to get.
