lol come one with that, DeAndre Jordan is the best rebounder in the NBA. WCS wasn't even the best rebounder on his college basketball team.

There was a time when Jordan was just a very good rebounder. But with the help of Doc, he developed into the best one. Jordan was written off as a scrub at one point...

At the very least, I see WCS being a Tyson Chandler with remarkable athleticism and explosion that has a decent jump shot with range out to 3.

he doesn't have range out to the 3. Just because he drilled a 3 in practice. I remember seeing eddy curry hitting a few 3's. That doesn't mean he has range. Until he proves it in a game I am going to say he doesn't have that range.

Can I see him make a mid range jump shot first (in a game) before we start calling him a stretch 4/5

WCS is a space cadet. Folks that want him should be fully aware and be willing to accept that. He will likely do and say stupid things and I would imagine the potential for him to get himself into compromising positions in NYC will probably be significant.

absolutely right, he for the lack of a better word is a clown. He has basketball skill but NY might eat him up.

It's a dike.

If we take Cauley-Stein then I will personally shoot up the MSG front office.

The worst thing to grab out of this draft is a role playing 5, can you imagine the boos when this kid can't score for his life. I'd rather spend top dollar on Andre Drummond next season, at least he has room to grow and is talented on both ends of the court.

If Phil ruins this off-season I might take a couple seasons off from the Knicks, can't watch this anymore….

BLACKFEET 2010 wrote:I actually see triple double potential from this kid.
He could be a baby Lebron, for real...an even more pure playmaking version at that.
A Russell Westbrook that "plays the right way".
I'm really thinking there's no way this kid goes past #4 overall.
He seems intelligent and mature as well.

It would be death to pass on this kid, especially for Justise (role-player, I am a 3) Winslow. If the Knicks take this kid they deserve the mediocrity he provides. I don't even think he is good enough to be the next Thaddeus Young

Did you just call me a dike?

Melo should have really have no impact whatsoever on who we draft. He is not heavy enough of an anchor to steer the ship.

WCS's last 2 games:

2 points, 5 boards in 33 min against Wisconsin as Kaminsky schooled him
6 points, 4 boards in 33 min against Notre Dame

He had a lot of games like that
Mavs
C: Horford | Goga | Paul Reed |
PF: Lauri Markkanen | Randle | Tucker
SF: Trey Murphy | Trent | Anderson | Simone
SG: Vassell | Trent | Livingston
PG: Spida | Mann | Deuce

Doesn't tell the story, when you're guarding guards you're not going to get a ton of rebounds, especially playing with other bigs.

No question he's an elite defender. I just dont know if you can count on him for much else.

I'm sticking to my guns that Okafor drops to #4 with the Lakers taking Russell and Philly taking Mudiay since they have Embiid/Noel.

It's freaking amazing that after the season we had we end up in the first slot where there isn't a sure thing.

If that's the case, then he probably won't work out here. We need 15 Shane Battier's on the roster.

They gave him a 5 year $122 million contract with a no trade clause...that's an anchor...whether you like him or not.

Under the new CBA, most teams will have a guy making that much money. Does that mean every team will stop drafting the BPA and just try to build around their max cat?

If you want defense then just go after DeAndre. WCS does not impress me at all.

Yeah really for folks that don't like clown type players, WCS is probably not the guy you'd want. He may work and I'm sure he can make an impact defensively. But a lot of folks seem to have problems with players like this. I just don't want to hear folks bitching about how he's like JR Smith, or go on rants if he pulls a silly stunt like Smith's shoe tying incident, or he dyes his hair orange, or he gets caught on camera smoking a spliff.

Okafor won't make it to #4. When the dusts settles the order will still be:

Towns
Okafor
Russell
Mudiay

It all comes down to Mudiay though. I agree that Towns, Okafor are 1,2 for sure. If Mudiay has great workouts he could easily go 3. I hate draft night. We never get to pick the guy we want even if they are on the board.
