Having kids means (hopefully) watching them grow up. If things go well,
they might even leave home and go to college someday. In my case,
this means my wife is the only person in the household left to
go to games with or renewing a single seat as opposed to the
pair that I had. Ah, the good old days or as John Hartford would
call em, the goodle days.

I miss when you and swami would go scorched earth on the boards the day the season ended.

I remember first learning about this board after it was mentioned on the Wizards message boards on ESPN way back in the day. It was like upgrading from Eric Maynor to John Wall.

Yep, I know the exact post you're talking about. I don't have a link, but I remember it and also believe it was Doc - something that could only be read in his writing-voice.

For our annual draft contest, we could have as the tie-breaker - Guess what Donk is going to spell? Then again, I don't think Dat's needed a tie-breaker to win it every year.

Wasn't there a tie last draft? Hands and Raphael maybe?

I need to learn to capture screen images like that.

Press the print screen button (Prt Sc). Usually to the right of your F12 key.
The paste it (control+V) into an image program like microsoft paint.

Congrats Indu. Will this be your first? What a blessing.

My kid/board experience was different from what you imagine yours will be. My first child was born in early December 2006, just before Arenas went on his historic west coast tear.

My boy and I stayed up late - him sleeping on my chest, as I watched the games, posting on my phone with my free hand.

In 2007 posting from your phone. What kind of phone was that  ?

Where is Spence. I would have enjoyed he and PIF attacking one another.

lol.....well look at this.

I ended up moving to NC about 3 years ago. An old family farm became available and in a matter of about 3 weeks, it was bought, the house in NOVA sold, and country living became the way of life. Absolutely love it. Get to work from home looking out my office window at horses in the pasture and working on Obamacare (security on the IRS side of the house). It's hard to find the time to venture into this place with work, work around the farm, and trying to bring a 1927 farm house up to meet the wife's stringent comfort requirements.

I do miss the old days though. There were a lot of people in here that kinda felt like family.
