Does Gerald Henderson opt into the final year of his contract?

Yes, and I hope he does.

Yes, but I wish he wouldn't so we can work out a longer term deal.

That's because we live in a world where having a 'stretch 4' is a trend and coveted, part of the reason why Draymond Green is in discussion for close to a max-contract deal, part of the reason why Josh McRoberts was also overpaid after having a breakout season beyond the arc, etc.

There is no incentive value or trending ways in the modern NBA in looking for a solid wing that's hesitant and inefficient from the 3-point line

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't see any possibility where Henderson opts out this offseason and get paid more than $6 million annually, and I'm reluctant to believe in anything over $4.5 for multiple years

I don't think he'll get paid much more if he opts out and he might get less. I think if he opts out it will be for other reasons.

Makes absolutely no sense for Henderson to opt out. Stay here, collect your 6 million, and wait till next offseason where 30 teams will have over 20 million in cap room to blow.
