Thank God for our semi-competent FO

Post#1 » by pacers33 » Tue Jun 9, 2015 7:51 am

The whole Thibs getting fired thing really made me appreciate how low key we are. It could have been us, firing Vogel for no reason. I wish I had more to say but it was just a thought I wanted to share.

Nah, no worries. One thing I love overall about this franchise under the Simons ownership and the leadership of Walsh/Bird/Pritchard is that they tend to be methodical, patient, and willing to let things play out. Is that frustrating when we think we should make moves like dumping Murphy/Dunleavy? Sure. But is it better overall when you have a young coach like Vogel that you think can be really good, but just needs some time and maybe a solid assistant coach or two? Absolutely.

It's boring but I'd have it no other way.

I'd take the semi- out of the equation.

Given how much money they spend, they are top third in the league.

But we really would have made some headlines if we had fired Vogel midseason and replaced him with George Karl....
