Well we needed a PF in the event Monroe left and the FA market is bleak. Ersan is a solid backup but he shouldnt be a starter. I doubt we target a PF in the draft

i like this, a lot. good fit, and allows us to look at our other needs for the time being and build up more depth. not a flashy name but it should work out with the staff well

^Why can't Ilyasova be a starter? Channing Frye has been a starter on a near-50 win team (the Suns two years ago) and his defense + rebounding is useless compared to Ilyasova.

Very good move for you guys imo, Ilyasova will do wonders for the Pistons spacing. I was hoping the Wiz could land him.

I didn't say he couldnt be a starter, but he shouldn't simply for the fact that he's not that good. Charlie V used to start for Detroit as well- who is even worse, so i certainly understand that lousy bigs start for teams. I just think that if Detroit wants to be a great team, they are going to need to do better at PF.

Pure cap space move for Milwaukee here unless they plan on keeping Butler to mentor Parker, given he is a Wisconsinite with deep community roots in his hometown. Otherwise I wouldn't mind re-signing Butler if his TO isn't picked up.

This eats into our cap space how much? Do we still pick up the Tolliver option now? If so that means Illyasova/Tolliver/Miller would be our PF rotation.

Love this trade. With him and tolliver as our power forwards we should always have great spacing out there

Great trade. Makes me feel way better about this offseason. I had no idea how we were gonna get a starting stretch 4 unless Kristaps fell.

Now we can just draft the best wing available and use our FA money on depth.

Ilyasova is pretty solid imo. You can't have an All-Star at every position. He's not gonna put the team on his back, but if he's healthy he should space the floor and rebound pretty consistently from the PF spot.

He's not a starter on an elite contending team no (unless you have a superstar) but for the type of team Detroit is building, I think he certainly fits as long as the other guys do their jobs.

Really like this move. If he can stay healthy, I could see him putting up 14-16ppg, 6-8 boards.

Illysova is owed 7.9M this season, and 8.4M next season.

Doesn't come cheaply. Basically our big "FA" signing already it seems. Milwaukee if they decline both options on Williams and Butler can have $22M in cap space.

Well we don't have All-Stars at any position so Id like to acquire a few lol.

This is a fantastic trade.

Offensively, Illyasova will be a great fit here. SVG has been doing an incredible job with trades (except for Tay).
