I think Ponce is probably slot and Walters maybe a little below since he signed so quickly. Guessing Orimoloye is above slot. The only one that I can be for sure is under slot is Allemand and he's probably a couple hundred thousand under.
In the draft sense it's a shame we're so bad because I would give up a draft pick next year and maybe the year after to sign a couple of the after round 10 guys this year.

Re: Draft Thread
Ponce’s 55th overall slot came with a $1,108,000 allocation while the pick used to take Walters was valued at $646,300. According to MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy, it appears that Ponce has agreed to a slot bonus while Walters’ deal will pay him close to his allocated amount.
Not that there was much hope of signing them before but with these you can pretty much forget about Hooper, Everett, Beck etc.

Re: Draft Thread
Deadline to sign draft picks is coming up. Anyone know if the Brewers will sign any of the remaining unsigned picks? I know the high school picks aren't going to sign, but I would love the Brewers to sign Kirby and McDowell.

Re: Draft Thread
It would be a shock if Kirby doesn't sign. Not sure how much we'll be able to do after that. Assume Kirby signs for slot, we would have $209,300 left in our pool. We might be able to pry one of the lower level after 10th round prospects away but not guys like India or Hooper.
We may be able to pry McDowell away with some extra money. He loses pretty much all leverage if he doesn't sign this year and isn't drafted in the first few rounds.

There is a 5% cushion so the number will be around 600-700,000 if he signs around slot. I agree with you however that those higher end guys will command millions so they are out of reach.
