Carroll played in Utah when Hornacek was an assistant, so he probably knows him very well.
I think Hornacek needs and deserves players that HE likes, because sometimes it seems that only McDonough have selected the players on our roster.

Unless the Suns get a generational type superstar ala Lebron James, or acquire someone like Durant or another top five player in the league during his prime, there is really nothing they can do when it comes to actually winning a championship. Might as well try to field the best team as possible and hope one of your own players like Alex Len turns into one of the five best players in the NBA. Five years of no playoffs for this franchise has made them irrelevant.

Would be extremely interested in getting Danny Green if we didn't have Brandon Knight to worry about. Package Bled & MoBros for Kevin Love and getting Danny Green would be a realistic target. But... getting Love would have to be realistic too, lol.

Danny Green can run, play two positions, is a good defender, yeah he'd be perfect for us. Did Evan Turner get resigned in Boston? If not, take a flyer on him. I saw a bit of his passing game...he'd fit well.

Probably not, especially with Mozgov playing like he is, and Love coming back. TT might be the odd one out.

The idea of Tristan Thompson getting a max contract is insane. I am not going to go into all of the reasons why I think it is insane but it is. He is kind of like a poor man's Horace Grant. Think of it like this. If this was 1991 and Horace Grant was going to be a free agent, would you pay him the same amount of money as Michael Jordan? Because that is basically what would happen if the Cavs max him out. Totally ridiculous. I would not touch anything close to max money with him. I would not even wanna give him more than 8 million a year.

Yes I believe they do. And I would not be against him singing with the Suns. But not for anything coming close to a max.

Unfortunately.

In this situation where the caps are rising, max deals won't be max deals in a few short years but I still don't think Tristan Thompson is worth it. He really only does one thing well and that's rebound. He's nothing special defensively and he's virtually a non-factor offensively. I think he's worth $12m-$14m max

It just struck me that we pursue Khris Middleton who has potential both on the offensive and defensive end.
he somewhat resembled Richard Hamilton when I saw his game. He would be able to become an excellent SG with averaging 17pt, 40% 3pt, 80% Ft in the near future.

I strongly believe that 2 points guard as starters is not good strategy to go into the playoff while I am watching the NBA final. 2 points guards take disadvantage of the defense all the time.

I'd rather go for Middleton than maintaining Bledsoe and Knight. I don't exactly know who is better one as a PG between them. If we want more Bledsoe, we just give up to get a new contract of Knight. Otherwise, we trade Bledsoe for some players or picks assuming that we'd like Knight.

Right, because 5 years out of the playoffs isn't enough, right? You never know if you can dance unless you go to the dance. PHX will continue to be on the losing end of the FA market until we generate some relevance in the game again. That's one of the reasons PHX did so well in the past is we were always relevant.

We have not been relevant for 5 years now, and crazy as it seems, we haven't been able to attract quality FA's over that period (from other teams) We have been able to keep most of our own...That would suggest that we have an external marketing problem that is likely solved with a good playoff run. We may not win it all with the first playoff run, but we will raise some eyebrows.
