I hope Porzingis kills it at his workout, we need him and WCS to go before we pick.

We're getting Winslow. I can feel it. His stock is down a little because he measured short. Everyone's freaking out and drooling over the bigs. Someone's going to roll the dice on Hez before we pick. First 7 are KAT, Okafor, Russell, Mudiay, Hezonja, WCS, and Porzingis.

Already said but we had to address SF with or without this trade so I'm not buying the something else is imminent argument.

The trade simply made good basketball and business sense. We upgrade in talent, get a good fit at a position of need and at relatively little cost. if I had to characterize it id say SVG has more of a vision than a plan. It's fluid.

the only small forwards i can see us trading for is PJ Tucker, Wilson Chandler, or Nicolas Batum

What would you guys give for Chandler?
Would you give #8 and Spencer(if that is his name) for Gallo?

Gallo can't stay healthy so probably not. We need to keep some of our youth since they're worth their weight in gold once the cap spikes.

Id do Meeks+Martin+2nd round pick + Dinwiddie for Chandler

But doubt Denver pulls the trigger on that deal. They would probably need KCP.

Jackson / Jennings --- FA
KCP / FA
Chandler / # 8
Ilyasova / Tolliver --- Miller
Drummond / FA

I still want to go after Brandon Wright to back up Drummond, I think he can be had for under 8M but who knows with the crazy spenders out there since the cap is going up

If Gallo could stay healthy I would absolutely do it but I'm not giving up a mid-lottery pick for anybody that misses that much time.

Chandler would be a solid addition but I don't see a fair trade that brings him here unless Denver is mostly just looking to dump his salary. He's the SF version of KCP

Yeah, Gallinari is too big of a health risk to trade the 8th pick for.

I'm probably in the minority on this board but I don't think Wilson Chandler is all that great of a player If Detroit doesn't draft a wing with the 8th pick or get Carroll in free agency then Chandler wouldn't be a bad consolation prize. Although the most I would want the Pistons to give up for him is Meeks and Martin which probably wouldn't get it done.

I would be hesitant to give up Meeks for him, I might be OK with it if we're going to see RJ out there with Jennings 20mpg but Meeks is more valuable to us if he's healthy like it looked late in the season.

I definitely agree with that. Meeks is a player I like a lot but if the Pistons don't draft a wing (small chance of that, but it's possible) and don't sign Carroll then the small forward market is basically nothing if you think the restricted free agents aren't going anywhere. I would give up Meeks for a guy like Chandler to address small forward in that situation.

If Denver would be willing to let Chandler go for a future first I think I would prefer that as long as it was a few years down the road. Draft a SF and bring Monroe back, all of a sudden we're looking like a damn good team and maybe the deepest in the league.

Drummond/Monroe/Joel
Ilyasova/Monroe/Tolliver
Chandler/Stanley/Quincy
KCP/Meeks/RJ
RJ/Jennings/Dinwiddie

Even without Moose still damn good with plenty of money too add a backup center, probably $11M.

We'd have one of the deepest frontcourts if not the deepest. I doubt Monroe stays on to be a backup though, even if we did offer him good money.

Unlikely but if he wants to win, get a max deal and still play 30mpg why the hell not? Maybe Andre can convince him the team will compete for the east, who knows.
