I don't want anything to do with Bargs jr.

First move: Draft Russell and trade with 76ers. 27th pick, swaggy p, Russell for Covington, 37th and okafor. We free space and get a quality 3 on a cheap contract.

Second move: trade okafor, 37th pick for Tim Hardaway jr. And porzingis. New York has been looking for a second round pick and they get a solid big.

Third move: convince Marc Gasol to sign with this awesome team.

Fourtg move: sign rondo for no more than 8 mill a year and Paul pierce for leadership. Rondo and pierce will have best chance to win here.

Final move: pay thibs to be a assistant coach

Rondo
Kobe
Pierce
Poz
Gasol

Clarson/hardaway/Covington/randle/dalembert Off the bench

If we have money for guys like damare c, Tristan thomas, I hope we get them.

One discussion to start is who will give us something we value for s&t hill and/or lin

Plan b, if knocks don't want to trade and we can't get gasol:

do first move

Sign damare and triston and rondo

first move. Draft Russell. Hinkie says "Thank you.", trades Okafor for Mudiay or one of the Europeans plus assets.

Drills when players aren't going up against actual competition tell you nothing. He has a nice shooting stroke and he looks fluid for a 7 footer but he's not pulling off those moves against athletic NBA level defenders. He seems like the definition of a workout warrior. Using the number 2 pick on shooter is such a waste. He would make a lot of sense for a team like Orlando who could hide him on defense.

Krispy Pringles and Darko are absolutely nothing a like besides being from overseas. Hezonja, Towns, and Porzingis are the top talents in this draft.

Amen bro....you know sometime DD, I don't think guys realize how much more goes into this than just getting a guy to play ball. When I see certain guys here get all excited about these unknowns, and other players we don't need...it makes me wonder do they really understand the business of it. We have to get this pick right, we can't be cute about this.

Smart people know which guys should be coming here....that's all I'm saying about that. One damn thing for sure, this thread has shown me who the smart guys here are.

Guys don't get all cheesy on a solo- no defense workout. What does all that stuff look like when he has Kawhi Leonard on him ? Or Z-Bo bumping him off the block ? That's what these no defense workouts are designed for, to make the guy look better than great. Yeah he looks fluid, has a decent stroke...but none of this was done at game speed, when you have to make snap decisions on getting all that to work for you.

Couldn't you come up with something that's not a stock response? What's next? He's a shooter because he's white and he's soft because you cannot pronounce his last name?

Mitch wouldn't take him based on one workout. It would be based on scouting reports over the last year.

This guy's interview didn't strike me as mentally weak. He seems confident. Plus I don't recall Bargs dunking everything in his Euro highlights.

Doubt we'd pick him over Okafor, but if Minny takes him then we have a choice to make.

Kupchak also traveled to Europe to watch his games and scout him personally so he has a better idea of him from actual competition.

Personally, I gather so much more from a player by watching them in actual games than watching a workout.

Games are 1000X more important to me.
