We're getting a shiny new tower that will be the biggest in America outside of Chicago and NYC. Positive vibes man

That thing is gonna be huge. Downtown will be a **** for years.

Anyway, this sucks. I was really looking forward to watching Embiid excell this year.

Emoticons.. The sign of a pubescent. Could have just said no chance. Oh well.

Just an idea. Interesting to see how this effects his value now. I guess the Sixers are just going to either get a gem or go down with the ship at this point. They have come to far already.

Don't be a douche. Everyone uses emoticons, it's not a sign of anything.

You asked what the Sixers say, and I told you what they say. They laugh and hang up the phone.

I think this news reduces Embiid's value significantly.. He is no longer just a "risk." The team is talking about pursuing "other opinions."

I thought an offer that included a First Team All Rookie, the #2 pick in the draft, and another first round pick was at least discussable... I guess not, its laughable. Ok.

Then if he is high risk why trade for him?

It's probably just a minor set back and a precautionary evaluation from the 76ers. He did not injure his foot again. The basketball world wants the Sixers to burn the city down for every small thing. I think with or without Embiid to be honest, we are still in a good position going forward. A lot better position than the pre-Hinkie days.

You may be right.. I think it might have to do with the approach of blatantly losing games.. for multiple seasons.. as well as this season upcoming? I think it rubs fans of other teams the wrong way.

Hopefully this is just a minor setback though, because I like Embiid. But I dunno man, seeking "other opinions," issuing a press release, shutting him down after a CT Scan. This seems more than minor to me, but hopefully not.

Then why would they trade someone who they wouldn't get equal value for? Trading him now makes zero sense on any front. They knew this was possible when they drafted him and they are gonna stick by him.

Are you implying that I'm taking things to seriously? I wouldn't expect something like that from someone who is a moderator and has more posts on these forums than I could collect in multiple lifetimes.. Anyways, I'll see myself out. It was just a question, trying to create a discussion.

They did the same thing with the walking boot this year

Well, if this was just minor, they wouldn't put it out in public. My guess is that there is relatively big possibility that Embiid might miss SL or first few games of the season and the team wants us to be ready.

You can't really put that on the medical staff, can you? You can't just magically cure arthritis.

I'm actually really excited for the some what construction boom and renovation to Philly''s skyline. It's been way over due imo.

University City/West Philly is coming along nicely.

Higher probabilily also that Sixers goes Kristap with third pick and more chance Sixers goes for mudiay over Russell.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Philly skyline is beautiful. I can see it from my apartment. Moving out of west/away from those college kids was the best thing Ive done since moving here.
