I thought I was the only one who noticed that. I mean he's "ok" but these Lakers fans think Clarkson will get them an unprotected lottery pick

We do the same thing lol. Embiid is god around here and he hasn't even played a NBA minute.

Agreed but, at least Embiid has a pedigree

Or its preparing the fanbase for KP at 3

Yao and Bill Walton had the same foot issue and it ended up ending there careers. This is bad

McHale and Big Z also had this same foot issue. Didn't end their careers.

From reading the press release Hinkie's gang gave to nba.com, it seems like they just want to have the story written in their own language.

This is one of the reasons WHY we should always draft BPA and not fit. If Embiid does have a major set back then we draft Okafor (who I'm not crazy about but, Noel would be a perfect PF to put next to him).

Hinkie's smarter than this right? There has to be an underlying reason for him releasing this statement...he doesn't owe it to anyone to update Embiid's status on a random Saturday.

Not really.

Noel
Top 3 Pick 2015
Likely Two Top 7 Picks next season
Saric
Covington
Heat Pick
OKC Pick
2nd rounders for days
Cap space for days

Is Embiid a big loss to our plans? Of course, but it could be worse. Imagine if Twolves lost Wiggins to an injury. We are still in a very good position. It's probably not even that big of a deal.

Maybe it's a smokescreen. We have no problem taking any of the bigs. Idk

The underlying reason is, Woj came out with it.

What i find interesting is how the sixers came out with the statement within minutes of the woj report, maybe it could be a smokescreen

Seems a response, not a smokescreen.

Definitely not a smokescreen. Just damage control.

So does this mean Embiid won't be displaying the new uniforms next week? Lol.

..maybe now other teams won't think we are bluffing if we tell them we're drafting Kristaps. "Trade up and give us assets or suffer the torture of WCS and Winslow!"

Well, FWIW, Kristap-Noel combo seems promising. Both can play big and small. Kristap can also space out the floor very well.
